With the unveiling of the new Seltos, Kia has once again taken the game forward with the addition of a boatload of equipment and features. But the old Seltos was never something you’d call ‘barebones’ anyways. So what is new?
Here is our list of the top 5 features making their way into the Seltos for the first time:
First on this list is the 10-way power-adjustable driver seat, which now also comes with 2 memory settings. In addition to this, Kia has also given it a unique feature, which it calls the ‘Relaxation Mode’ for some sweet naps while your partner goes on those arduous shopping trips.

Keeping your safety and a fair amount of giggles in mind, the new Seltos comes with not just a front, but a rear dashcam as well for added safety measures. Of course, that’s not to say that you can’t look into the recordings time-to-time and reminisce about the joys as well as perils of Indian roads. You saw a Ferrari today, huh? Now you can prove it to your friends.

Gone are the days of wired Android Auto/Apple CarPlay for the Seltos’ top-end variants as we usher into this new era of the ‘Trinity Panoramic Display’ borrowed from the Syros. This three-screen setup includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 5-inch touchscreen climate control panel and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, which finally has wireless phone connectivity, for both Android as well as Apple. It also gets new-age graphics and a sleeker user interface.

Another premium feature that the Seltos adopts from its smaller sibling, the Syros, is powered flush door handles, which just take the cool factor up a notch. Yes, they are more aerodynamic as well, but mostly also a party trick to make you feel good every time you want to open the door or even look back at the car after parking it.

Rounding up this list are side parking sensors, which come as an addition to the front and rear ones, usually not seen in this class of cars. A very useful feature in India, we are sure that it will help prevent a good chunk of costly bodyshop visits and embarrassing moments when parking in tight spaces.

It won’t be wrong to say that the Seltos has been one of the most complete, premium-feeling and popular cars in its segment. So it was only justified that Kia take this one step further to again be at the top of the segment, like it was six years ago with the first generation. Like the Seltos much?
