Kia will be announcing the prices of the Carens MPV for the Indian market next month in February. Pre-launch bookings have been underway online and across dealers since January 14 for a token of Rs 25,000.
The MPV will come in five trims: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. All of them are 7-seaters as standard, with the top-spec Luxury Plus can be had as a 6-seater as well. The Carens will get eight paint options, of which three are exclusive to the MPV: Moss Brown, Sparkling Silver, and Imperial Blue.
The Kia Carens will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, a single-pane sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, a digitised driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, and ventilated front seats.
Standard safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill descent control, and tyre pressure monitoring.
The Carens will be powered by the Seltos’ engine options: 115PS 1.5-litre petrol and diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. All three get a 6-speed manual as standard, and the turbo-petrol and diesel mills can also be paired with an optional automatic.
