Hero MotoCorp has unveiled a limited edition version of the Mavrick 440 called the Mavrick 440 Thunderwheels. The limited edition bike is a result of a collaboration between the manufacturer and Thums Up and it will be available exclusively to customers who purchase and scan the special edition bottles of soft drink till November 15, 2024.
The limited edition bike is based on the Mavrick 440’s mid-spec variant and the fuel tank, front fender and tail section are painted in blue. The “Mavrick 440” badging on the fuel tank is painted in white and red and the tank extensions are painted in red with “Thunderwheels” badging on them. The fender mounts are also painted in red. The bike gets a pillion backrest and bar end mirrors as well.
The regular Hero Mavrick 440 is available in three variants: Base, Mid and Top and are priced at Rs 1,99,000, Rs 2,14,000 and Rs 2,24,000 (all ex-showroom). The Base variant gets spoke wheels with tubed tyres while the Mid and Top variants get regular alloy wheels and diamond-cut alloy wheels respectively with tubeless tyres. The bike has neo-retro styling with the round headlight and the muscular fuel tank. Powering the bike is a 440cc, air-/oil-cooled SOHC single-cylinder engine producing 27.3PS at 6,000rpm and 36Nm at 4,000rpm. It comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers (both with 130mm wheel travel) while braking duties are taken care of by a disc brake at both ends.
In terms of features, the Mavrick 440 gets all-LED lighting and a negatively-lit LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity for call and SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. It rivals the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB350, Jawa 350, and the Harley-Davidson X440.
