It is set to be unveiled on December 19
An earlier teaser has confirmed ADAS and panoramic sunroof
Likely to get 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display and infotainment system
Expect Kia to offer multiple powertrain options, including 1-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel
Prices are likely to start from Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom)
Kia has revealed yet another teaser of its upcoming Syros. For the first time, the carmaker has given a proper glimpse of the production version’s exterior, showing off a few exterior design elements. To be specific, the 25 second teaser shows what the Syros would look like in broad daylight. In fact, the previous teaser has given glimpses of its interior, revealing several features. It is also important to note that the upcoming Syros will globally debut on 19 December, 2024.
The new teaser of the upcoming Kia Syros shows its exterior in production version form. It shows the quirky design language that also takes design cues from some of the latest models from the brand, namely the EV3 and EV9. This is also the first time we are getting to see how the new Kia Syros looks like in this dark grey hue as previous teasers were of the blue colour.

As seen in the teaser, the front end gets vertically stacked LED headlights comprising three projector units either side, plus there are sleek daytime driving lights. The front bumper has a dual-tone treatment – a combination of black cladding with a silver skid plate for a rugged look.

The side profile gives a sneak peek at the flush door handles, body-coloured B-pillar and chunky body cladding. Coming to the rear, the Syros features L-shaped taillights placed near the rear window and a rear wiper. Going by the teaser, the Syros will come with dual-tone alloy wheels, perhaps 16-inch with a design reminiscent to those found in the EV9.
The previous teaser of the Kia Syros had shown a two-spoke steering wheel and a glimpse of the touchscreen infotainment system. The steering wheel buttons hinted at ADAS functionality, which the new exterior teaser confirms with an ADAS module placed in the front bumper.

On the other hand, there will be terrain mode selector, drive mode selector, and a button for voice assistant on the steering wheel, as per the teaser. The cabin comes finished in a black / dark grey hue and gets streaks of ambient lighting.
The centre console shown in the earlier teaser shows a couple of buttons that indicate the Syros may boast a 360-degree camera and front parking sensors. We expect Kia to offer a 10.25-inch infotainment, an all-digital driver’s display, ventilated seats, and connected car tech. Most notably, the latest teaser has once again confirmed a panoramic sunroof for the Syros.

Expect the Syros to come powered by a 1-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that makes 120 PS and 172 Nm and a 1.5-litre inline 4-cylinder diesel motor producing 116 PS and 250 Nm. Transmission options may include 6-speed manual, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with the turbo-petrol, and 6-speed torque converter automatic with the diesel.
The Syros will not have any direct competitors in India. However, it will take on the sub-compact and compact SUV, including the Tata Nexon as well as Hyundai Creta. Meanwhile, it is likely that the prices of the Syros could range between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 16-17 lakh (ex-showroom).
