This is a major overhaul for the facelifted Baleno. Up front, the grille is larger and the headlamps are sleeker, giving the hatch a bold demeanor. The redesigned bumper also gels along with the design. In profile, the revised set of alloy wheels are the only change, while the rear-end features new split-LED tail lamps.

Inside, the new blue-black dual-tone dash features a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The climate control knobs have been redesigned while the steering wheel is lifted from the Dzire. Maruti is also playing the feature games to woo buyers.

New additions include a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, six airbags, an Arkamys-tuned sound system, and a wireless phone charger. Other features onboard include automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry with push button start, and auto LED headlights.

Passenger safety is taken care of by electronic stability control, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.

Underneath the hood, the Baleno will get just the 90PS 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine with idle start-stop functionality. The 83PS 1.2-litre petrol engine has been dropped from the Baleno. A 5-speed manual transmission is offered as standard while the smooth CVT has been replaced by an AMT. A downgrade, but it should make the automatic variant more cost effective.
