When Mahindra launched the Scorpio N back in 2022, the nameplate got a bunch of new features, which made the SUV rather feature-loaded. It certainly offered more features than the 3-door Thar, but the narrative has not turned around with the launch of the 5-door Thar Roxx . Not only does the 5-door off-roader match the Scorpio N’s features list, but it goes the extra mile and offers a few additional ones. In this story, we take a look at those features that the Thar Roxx offers over the Scorpio N:
The Thar Roxx borrows its infotainment system from the flagship XUV700, which boasts a 10.25-inch unit with both wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (to be added later).

In comparison, the Scorpio N gets a smaller 8-inch touchscreen unit with wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Both cars get a nearly identical connected car tech suite.
Just like its infotainment, the Thar Roxx also borrows the 10.25-inch digital driver’s display from the XUV700. The new screen has replaced the analogue dials and the MID display that are still found on the 3-door Thar and lower variants of the Roxx. The Scorpio N makes use of a 7-inch coloured multi info display, flanked by analogue dials.

Which setup do you prefer, though? Analogue or digital dials? Let us know in the comments.
While the Thar Roxx might not get the option of a soft top, it does get a massive panoramic sunroof.

It genuinely is huge, especially compared to the Scorpio N’s single-pane sunroof.
While the Scorpio N still gets an old-school manual handbrake, the higher variants of the Thar Roxx boast an electronic parking brake. Additionally, it also gets the ‘auto hold’ function, which makes it easier to use in stop and go traffic.
Parking and maneuvering a big car on Indian roads can be a daunting task, and to make life easier, Mahindra has fitted a 360-degree camera in the Thar Roxx.

However, Scorpio N users only have to make do from a front and rear-view camera.
Yes, the Thar Roxx comes with level-2 ADAS features like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

These can be particularly useful on those long expressway road trips, whereas the Scorpio N doesn’t get any autonomous driver aids.
