The EV wave on our shores shows no signs of easing, with multiple models from luxury carmakers lined up for launch as well. Let’s take a look at five models that are expected to be launched in India. These models catch attention not only with their styling but also with their upmarket features and range. So, without further ado, let’s explore the upcoming premium EVs in India.
Expected Price: Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom)
VinFast's first launch in India is expected to be the VF7. It features a sporty appearance with sleek LED DRLs, flush door handles, and connected LED lighting at the rear, enhancing its visual appeal. On the features front, it comes equipped with a 12.9-inch touchscreen, heads-up display, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and a range of ADAS functions. Globally, it is offered with a 70.8 kWh battery, paired with either a 201 PS / 310 Nm electric motor or a 354 PS / 500 Nm electric motor unit. The former comes with a front-wheel-drive setup, while the latter gets an all-wheel-drive layout.

Expected Price: Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom)
The EX30 will be Volvo’s most affordable electric SUV, positioned below the EX40, and is likely to make its India debut by late 2025. It carries the brand’s signature styling cues such as a closed grille, Thor Hammer LED DRLs, connected tail-lamps, and a sporty dual-tone finish. The cabin of the EX30 follows a clean, minimalistic layout, with key highlights including a 12.3-inch portrait touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, and ADAS safety features. The India-spec EX30 will be offered with the 69 kWh battery pack paired with a 272 PS and 343 Nm electric motor, and a rear-wheel drive setup. It delivers a WLTP-claimed range of 480 km.

Expected Price: Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom)
Leapmotor will likely enter the Indian market with the launch of the C10. It is expected to be positioned as a more accessible SUV in the premium EV space. In the international markets, the C10 is available with a 69 kWh battery pack paired to 231 PS and 320 electric motor. It offered a WLTP-claimed range of 420 km. Upon its launch, the C10 will take on the likes of the BYD Atto 3 and will also serve an alternative over the EVs like VinFast VF7.

Expected Price: Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom)
The CLA Electric will be Mercedes’ step into the more affordable luxury EV space in India. It gets a sleek, coupe-like design with smooth lines and a cabin layout inspired by bigger EQ models. Globally, it is offered with battery packs that deliver around 500–550 km of range, along with fast charging support of up to 250 kW.

Expected Price: Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom)
The Q6 e-tron will be Audi’s latest addition to its electric SUV lineup, placed below the larger Q8 e-tron. It carries Audi’s sharp and elegant design language with sleek LED lighting, a bold grille, and coupe-like proportions that give it a sporty edge. Inside, the cabin feels premium with Audi’s newest digital displays, premium materials, and plenty of tech on board. Globally, the Q6 e-tron is available with a dual electric motor setup that makes over 380 PS, paired with a 100 kWh battery pack. It offers a claimed range of up to 625 km. Once launched, it will take on premium EVs like the BMW iX1.
