Bengaluru-based Bounce Infinity has announced its collaboration with Crayon Motors, anothe EV startup to set up battery swapping stations across the country. Bounce Infinity was the first company to introduce battery swapping technology in India, and last month had partnered with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
Just like its alliance with BPCL, Bounce Infinity’s collaboration with Crayon Motors will bring two and three-wheeler-compatible swap stations. With BPCL, Bounce Infinity will have swap stations at 3,000 fuel outlets, while Crayon will aid setting up swapping stations at its dealerships, and at residential complexes, fuel outlets, restaurants, cafes, co-living spaces, corporate offices, and kirana stores.
Companies like Honda and Hero MotoCorp are already partnering with petroleum companies across India to set up EV charging and battery swapping networks. Meanwhile, companies like Ola Electric and Ather Energy are working on expanding their own charging infrastructure.
