Mechanically, the TVS Jupiter Grande remains unchanged. It’s powered by the same 109.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8PS of power and 8Nm of torque, mated to a CVT transmission. The Grande edition version, which is the newest addition to the TVS Jupiter portfolio, gets a host of new features along with a brand new paint job. The TVS Jupiter Grande will be offered in disc and drum variants, priced at Rs 59,648 and Rs 55,936 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. Besides a brand new paint job, the TVS Jupiter Grande gets a cross-stitched maroon seat, Grande badging, beige panels, body coloured grab handle (on the disc brake-equipped variant) and chrome accents. TVS has also equipped the Jupiter Grande with a new LED headlight with position lamp, a semi-digital instrument console with econometer and an independent adjustable rear shock. The digital inset in the instrument console also includes a readout for percentage ridden in Eco mode. The disc variant gets diamond-cut alloy wheels while the base variant comes with standard alloys. Although the upgrade to LED headlights and the semi-digital console on the newer generation Honda Activa can’t be termed as a generation upgrade, it is crucial towards strengthening the Activa’s position in the Indian two-wheeler market further. Otherwise, the TVS Jupiter comes across as a more premium offering, considering the level of comfort, refinement, quality and practical features on offer. That said, we are certain that the Activa brand will continue to maintain its position as the best-selling scooter in India, owing to the name it has made for itself over the past decade.
The TVS Jupiter is the Honda Activa's biggest rival. It offers a lot more features and variety (in the form of variants) than the Activa, thus making it a very sound proposition for those who want a reliable, no-nonsense scooter. The frugal engine, comfortable ride quality and the fact that it is cheaper than the Honda Activa despite offering much more make it our pick as the best 110cc scooter on sale. On the other hand, the Activa remains the highest-selling scooter in the country, consistently. Buyers often perceive the Activa to be a safer bet when it comes to reliability, refinement and mileage. The latest-gen scooter features LED headlamp and analogue-digital combo cluster (only in the DLX variant). Though, the TVS Jupiter comes across as a more premium offering, considering the level of comfort, refinement, quality and practical features on offer. The TVS Jupiter checks all the boxes when it comes to convenience and practicality. It features a low fuel indicator, external fuel filler cap, a USB charging socket (optional), telescopic forks and an optional front disc brake with sync braking. Add to that a frugal engine, a more modern CVTi transmission and better ride quality with a broader seat, and the TVS Jupiter makes a great case for itself. On the other hand, although the upgrade to LED headlights and the semi-digital console on the newer generation Honda Activa can’t be termed as a generation upgrade, it is crucial towards strengthening the Activa’s position in the Indian two-wheeler market further. Jupiter grande edition is more of a cosmetic features instead putting the extra for those cosmetic looks go for access 125 spe it's a all rounder and better in all aspects compared to jupiter.. The Japanese engine of Suzuki access 2019 is modern and lightest in weight which has good power and not compromising in efficiency and gives you around 45-50 if you are good at throttle and not being harsh.. The disc brake at front drum at rear with a CBS combination has good stopping power...The underseat storage is big enough can easily fit the full size helmets like MT, Studds... 125cc+45-50Kmpl+Disc+cbs+alloys+long seat+spacious underseat storage+classic look, i think access is the best as of now !
Suzuki has revamped the Access and by the looks of it it looks quite good. It now comes with SEP technology, alloy wheels, an optional front disc and with ride quality as its main focus. The Access is a complete package and should help Suzuki make up lost ground despite the competition being rather stiff in the segment. On the other hand, Jupiter is a great automatic scooter with telescopic forks, 12 inch wheels and a long list of features, the TVS Jupiter has good low and mid-range grunt too and makes the daily commute effortless and is offered at great value also. The frugal engine, comfortable ride quality and the best 110cc scooter on sale.
If you need performance, longer seat and storage, buy an access. If you need better mileage, more plush seats, softer suspension(also adjustable), better ride quality, bigger tires ( that makes a lot of difference!) and more features go for Jupiter.
Choose according to your budget and how much you can spend on maintenance and fuel. ntorq is a sportier one hence it would suite for people who need more power and better handling(also way better brakes than Jupiter). But mileage is very low when compared to Jupiter, also seats and smaller and have more height so not ideal for family usage,Jupiter is more for the relaxed kind of rider. It has better mileage, more plush seats, softer suspension(also adjustable), better ride quality etc.
Both the machines are different and have different engine in which Ntorq uses bigger 125cc engine, whereas grande uses 110cc engine. If power, performance and segment first features are your priority then go for Ntorq. If you want extreme refinement and awesome mileage go for Grande. One more advantage of grande over ntoq is that grande has metal body whereas ntorq has fiber panels.
Mileage of ntorq in city with eco mode is aroumd 38 to 40 kmpl and on highways it goes upto 45 kmpl. But ntorq cannot be compared with grande because both use different engines and both are legends in their specific category such as if you want good mileage and ride comfort go for grande and if you want just performance and feature packed vehicle go for ntorq.
Our suggestion would be to go for TVS Jupiter Grande due to its features and reliability. But to know more about this we suggest you take a test ride of the vehicle and then decide. Read more. Can't really give you a certain answer on which looks better i think its upto you to decide which looks you better, but coming towards performance there's not much of a difference between this two scooters. Though activa has a slight advantage over jupiter in terms of horsepower marginally but it's there like about 0.2 hp more than jupiter, activa's 110 cc produces about 8hp and Jupiter's 110cc produces about 7.7hp-7.8hp not much of a difference but activa is 3 kg lighter than jupiter which with extra 0.2 hp and 2-3kgs lighter will actually have a slight advantage over jupiter.well this was the engine side of performance numbers on to the suspension anf tyres i personally think jupiter rides alot better than activa and of your keen to take it around corners than jupiter would handle slightly better than activa and Jupiter's top variant gets a disc brake that's added performance upgrade or safety upgrade which ever way you look at it, and because suspension on jupiter is better and jupiter weighs more it would be alot more stable than activa at Highspeed. Then there are other features like Bluetooth connectivity full led Guage cluster and rear placed filler cap yes all this accounts for extra 10 thousand rupees over activa 5g. Now it's upto you which scooter makes sense for you and your budget. Which ever scooter you choose you can't go wrong with either of this two, activa has proven itself in the market with time and time again with its in its 5th generation and tvs has done a remarkable job with jupiter.
Activa 5G is best, in activa 5g bluetooth options not available
TVS Motor has ended the series production of its scooter, the Jupiter Grande. It was the limited edition and TVS has equipped a few of those features on to the ZX variant which is available without disc brakes as well.
Yes, drum only was available, but they have stopped the Grande model
No, there won't be any issue with the engine but we'd suggest you do the service according to the mentioned km, the second service after 2500 km, third service after 5000 km, fourth service after 8500 km and fifth service after 11500 km respectively.
There is no problem if you change the engine oil way before the time it's actually due.
