Hyundai Inster

Hyundai has unveiled its sub-compact Inster EV, which is based on the Casper model sold overseas. The Inster is the smallest EV by Hyundai yet, and will go on sale globally, starting from Korea. It borrows a lot of design elements from the Ioniq 5 and the Casper and gets multiple powertrain options as well.

Features: The Inster is a feature loaded EV with practical flexibility with all-seat fold function. It gets a 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, single pane sunroof, and ambient lighting. On the safety front, it gets standard equipment like 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, 360 degree camera with parking sensors and additional ADAS tech like collision warning, blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control.

Motor: The Inster gets two battery pack options with a single motor. The standard 42 kWh battery which helps the motor produce 97 PS and the Long-Range 49 kWh battery model produces 115 PS. Torque remains constant for both the variants at 147 Nm. Hyundai further claims over 300 km range for the standard variant and a 355 km range (WLTP cycle) for the long-range Inster.
