Q. What is the difference in Venue petrol 1.2 Kappa engine and petrol 1.0 turbo engine who is the best engine and with the best mileage eith best performance.
- Turbo engine is gives good pick up and mileage with smaller engine. But it's life span is smaller than naturally aspirated engine. So if you want speed and high pick up than go for turbo. If your interested in average safe car speed with long engine life than go for naturally aspirated 1.2 L engine. Why turbo charge engine have small life than regular engine? Because with smaller engine you take more power with turbine installation so engine life reduce. It is like steroid tablet given to weak person for getting high performance.. think before purchase you are fun driver or you buy car for longer time. Thanks
- Mileage is near about same but performance wise 1.0 is a good choice to buy its a turbo charge engine what a smooth drive and also great pickup, My opinion you should go with 1.0 turbo venue
- For long drive it gives up to 22kms/ltre that I have reached ...But in city with more traffic it gives 10km/ltr sometimes lesser than that
Q. Venue DCT is only 1.0 litre so how 998 cc is stronger than other available 1200cc and 1600cc engines?
- The 1.0 is a direct injection Turbo charged engine. Which pumps fuel directly into the combusion chamber at a very high pressure. Coupled with a turbo charger. Other than this 1.0 GDi engine, the only other real turbo petrol engine is the EcoBoost 1.0 (@125bhp) on the EcoSport S. Suzuki also has a similar 1.0 BoosterJet engine in global market which is yet to make its way into India. When comparing with larger 1.5/1.6L naturally aspirated engines, do notice that they make the power at slightly lower RPMs compared to turbo engines which will make the same power in the top end rev bands.All other petrol engines such as 1.2 on Nexon or XUV 300 are just MPFi engines with a turbo added. Hyundai-Kia also has higher variants of this 1.0 GDi turbo which are 1.4 GDi (on Seltos) making 140 bhp and 1.6 GDi making 177bhp in the international market.
- My question and confusion is the same. How a less CC engine (1000 CC) is more powerful and have a more torque than higher engine (1200 CC), Today visited the show room of Hyundai at Nagpur; but not satisfied. I had a Hyundai car, and wish to purchase Venew.
- Turbocharger pushes in compressed air into the engine , this increases efficiency and in turn the power produced. So even for a smaller cylinder size the power produced is higher because of the turbocharger
Q. Is 1.0 litre turbojet petrol engine of Hyundai Venue superior than 1.2 litre petrol engine? What is the difference?
- S... since you have turbo you will get the torque more or less equivalent to 1.5ltre... and since its 1.0.ltre you will get fuel economy too.
- Yes ofcourse 1.0 litre turbo offers more power and performance and 1.2 offers a balance ride but their is one difference that is in their engine 1.0 litre comes with 3 cylinder and 1.2 comes with 4 .
- Both engine's difference turbo has powerful in terms of torque whereas 1.2l has smooth and linear power 😊

Petrol 1.2 manual engine feels under power at the time of over taking in the highway.Milage is also less as compared to claimed by the company.In this model tyre size should be 16 inch instead of 15 for better ground clearance.

Build quality is good, Feels safe.Milage : 11 to 13kmpl city, 14-to 16 kmpl highway.Though we use majority for city use.Power: 1.0 engine is a turbo so power & pickup are amazing for us.Comfort: compared to other mini suvs in this segment that needs an improvement.Thought its a 2020 model not the latest one still its a good one.

Driving experience is good.But the clutch at times is a problem.Cabin light is in the center and should be above the driver seat to see the steering and other panels.This is a minus point in the car.

During last nine years my scoda rapid has covered 170000 kms and still going strong just last week we visited jaipur in a day and came back, Fuel consumption 18 to 24, Rapid has covered more then 900 kms many times in a day, Like visiting ghaziabad to bhopal, Ghaziabad to itawa and back, Etc, No major maintenance other then change of oil, Filters and tyres, Two front shock absorber changed, Ac condenser changed, Parts r reasonably cheap at dealer services station, Unfortunately diesel version has stopped other wise i will opt for scoda only.
