There’s one pedal out of the three in a regular car’s driver footwell that gets’ a lot less love than it’s companions. Of course we are talking about the clutch. It was that impossible task when we were learning how to drive and a pain in the knee in traffic afterwards. But there is also that joy that you get when you master it and it becomes second nature. There's few things more rewarding than balancing the throttle and clutch and acing a launch off the line or heel and toe downshifting as you break for a corner. It took skill and when you got it right it allowed you to connect with the car a lot more.
Hyundai’s iMT is the latest attempt of deleting the clutch, it promises to be easier to live with in the city while all the benefits of a manual. But wait.
