Q. Should I go with Dominor 400 or Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. If i am considering the build quality, Engine quality and a bit of touring but not more than 250km a day.
  • Japanese bikes are revolutionary machines. Their any product particularly. The built, ergonomics (very imp), the mechanicals - the most important for better performance are umatchable. Gxr250 is an amazing machine. Within the city 5 gears are fantastic, once higjway comes the 6th gear shows the potential of the engine. Easily cruising at 120 kmps with pillion. And the engine is patented. When you think of rx100, RD 350 you understand what amount of RnD they do to make superb products that last a lifetime. Think and decide
  • Dominor is the best. . Refined engine... And the service netowork is great..so if your on your trip.. and something goes wrong ( which would never happen) you can get it done irrespective of you being in any corner of India... And they do prioritize dominors over the other bajaj bikes so you would get your ride the same day.. and bajaj service stations are open all Sunday's too 😉
  • If your top priority is touring, go for dominar. Hardcore sportbike lovers can even neglect the discomfort of touring with a sportbike like i do. But if it is not mandatory for you to buy a sportbike, go for a naked tourer

Q. Which bike is better for long ride. Dominar 400 or Himalayan?
  • It's a tough decision, Even I went through this situation at the time of purchasing my Dominar.. Both are well known for touring purposes so which one would be better? 1. RE's are well know for rusting issues, Bajaj is way better in that case. I 've seen platina and boxer without rust even to this date, which is like 10 years or more.2. In terms of performance Himalayan give 25HP whereasDominar was 35HP now it's 40HP. 3. In terms of maintenance and reliabilityBajaj is cheaper and they have a better know how about fuel injection systems since they 've got KTM and its proven, whereas RE came up with Fuel injection systems for the first time where they themselves don't know what to do, how to fix, so in terms of service RE is on the expensive as well as very disappointing as far as I know. 4. Biggest Con I spotted when it comes to touring perspective is lack of tubeless tyres on RE's. It's not practical to remove the entire tube out and fix it in the middle of nowhere.Whereas Dominar comes equipped with a Alloy wheel and Radial Tubeless tyres which is tension free, we can fix it ourself if you got a portable tyre inflator and puncher repair kit which you can literally store under your seat if required. 5. Dominar gives you a better experience and confidence while cornering and riding through high range whereas Himalayan's center stand scrapes the road at times which robs your balance and ends up injuring yourself. 6. Brakes are way better on Dominar 400 when compared to Himalayan's braking unit which lacks bite. 7. We might feel our vehicle is quite under powered when it comes to highway cruising at tripple digit speed, where as you can cruise at 100+ without reving the engine really hard which makes the ride more enjoyable with less vibration, Dominar can go upto 165 kmph easily and we got the right braking unit equiped with Bosch ABS so that gives us a extra confidence to have some fun. 8. Cold start missing and starting issues is something what I 've noticed with Himalayan. I 've seen people struggling to start where as it's easy peasy on Dominar, combination of fuel injection and tripple spark technology is proven. Considering these as a whole I strongly believe Dominar is the best touring bike under 2.5 lakhs price bracket. Which is value for money and easy to maintain with less gizmo and unwanted features to attract people which literally ends up with complaints over a period of time which comes equipped with sophisticated technology and sensors where we need to spend more to fix post warranty period.
  • Both, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Royal Enfield Himalayan are brilliant tourers and boasts comfortable riding position for long distance travels. The upright riding posture with a slight forward stance on the Dominar offers comfortable ride quality coupled with even comfy seat, On the other hand, Himalayan makes long distance touring feel like a breeze. The pliant suspension, confident stride and long-haul friendly ergonomics will delight you while going for a long-ride. Now, if you are looking for a bike with outright performance and more features, then the Dominar 400 makes more sense, whereas, if you want to cruise at nominal speeds and want to enjoy the traits like comfortable riding then we would suggest you to opt for the Himalayan. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of comfort and compatibility. You may click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details. • I have Himalayan BS6. In the span of Two years I had to change 1) speedometer 2) Chain 3) Front Shocker oilseal 4) Handle bar Cone set and Now my bike is Down With HEAD AND VALVE PROBLEM! Can you imagine two years old bike with not more than 15000km Run worth 2.5 lac developed serious engine problem! I'd recommend not to waste 2.5/7 lac on buying garbage. Soon I'll shoot video in Your service centre about this problem and upload on different sites. Seriously regretting my decision to buy Himalayan. Will make others aware about the poor built quality of bike.

    Catching motorcycle

This is undoubtedly an eye-catching motorcycle. You'll often notice people turning their heads. It is also very comfortable and has "excellent" braking capability. Never seen a bike with such terrific braking performance. However, It does not seem to be very reliable. On the first day of delivery, The bike stopped after 5 km and we had to tow it back to the garage. The next day the starter motor was changed and it was fixed. Point to be noted, The motor of a brand new bike had to be changed in just one day. Ok fine, Let me take that as a technical exception and not be judgmental about that. After all, it's a machine and perhaps bad luck. But no, It doesn't end there. Over the next one month, The bike again stopped several times in the middle of the road due to two reasons: 1. Overheating 2. Taking the clutch and releasing the accelerator. Now, Every now or then I would see the engine temperature reaching over 100c even when riding at 40-50km/hr. When I called service people they said 100c is very normal because 105c is the limit. Just 5c below the limit every now and then doesn't seem normal to me. One fine day the bike stopped in the middle of the road and refused to start because the temperature reached over 105. Though it eventually did start after 20 minutes, But hey. What the hell? it's not a 200hp bike that heat management is so difficult. Apart from this, The bike has stopped several times when I applied the full clutch and released the accelerator. In fact, riding this bike was like a luck game. I hope it doesn't stop! another thing is that this bike has a very very bad low rpm power delivery. It is useless to drive the bike below 4000rpm. At low revs, One wrong gear or a slight quick release of clutch and the engine begins to knock out. This makes low speed driving a very bad experience. Not just me but several people who have tried my bike have ended with a sudden engine turn off because of bad low rev power delivery. The bike though becomes fun after 4k rpm but it's pain below that. Also, the power delivery is highly non-linear. It comes in bursts after 4k and again somewhere after 6k. After the first service of the bike after 1000km, the heating issue was solved and switching off when taking clutch also reduced significantly. One more thing I think could be better is the speed. With my brother sitting at the back, Which is mostly the case, The bike struggles reaching 120km/hr.I don't mean it can't reach more than 120, But the time it would take to cross this speed will require an impractical stretch of free road. So for all practical purposes, We can find it reaching 80 to 90 easily on the Delhi ring road with moderate traffic. Just wish it could be 120 or so with ease instead of 90. To sum up1. Stunning looks and somehow the brand value (really?) adds to it.2.Very comfortable, Glides through rough roads.3.Very good breaking performance.4.Very bad low rpm power delivery5.Speed slightly lower than expectations. Why 4 stars even after all this? well, I think the overall ownership makes me feel a 4-star satisfaction. It's not only the engine you see when we talk of how you feel about owning a particular bike. A million-dollar question would be, If you removed the brand value would I still rate this 4 stars? honest answer, No. I would rate it 3.5 stars. So the extra 0.5 stars just for the ego boost of owning a BMW? perhaps yes. Would I recommend this bike? yes, I will, There's perhaps no competition to it in terms of comfort and appearance. Given the option of a 100% refund, Will I buy a different bike? well no. Out of the box, But I decided on this bike over the ninja 650 which I was initially planning. No it was not the price, It was the feel. Even today I will not swap this with a 650. Just for information a few quick facts: it cost me 3, 50, 000 on road in Delhi with the blue and red colour option which was around 7k extra. I ride in the city and the mileage is 25km/once I broke the clutch lever and it cost over 3k to have it replaced. The first service cost over 7k.

    Long rides

The bmw gs 310 is an excellent bike! very confortable for long rides and it can take you to places difficult to reach, Its torque will surprise you! very stylish so it steals sights of people when they see it! you can ride it for over 280 km and depending on your driving style, The full tank may last over 300 km.Very economic and a very suitable bike for adventures and for the city.We know bmw is not a cheap brand of motorcycle so it´s good to analize first if you will give the maintenance it needs. However, The 2020 model of the 310 gs corrected few issues with previous models and for you to go to the mechanic with this bike, It will take a while. The abs is simple great! the feature to disconnect it whenever you want will give you plenty of fun! the only con i see on this bike besides the maintenance cost is that, You would be likely to upgrade it to a 650 gs or to a f750 gs in a very short period of time! in general, This bike gives a lot of fun and security when you ride it.If you are thinking on getting one go and buy it! it will give you a good gs riding experience!.

I have been an owner of the

I have been an owner of the gs310 from 2019.I am very happy with the performance of the the.The 313cc engine doesn’t fail to surprise us.The g310gs can be a synonym to the word “refined”.The engine is well refined and smooth. The seating position and the seat itself is a bliss. The gel padded seat gives us a support throughout the ride amd can cruise casually for kilometers and kilometers. The headlight is a bit shaky. The rear view mirrors give a fantastic view and covers almost everything. The build of the vehicle is top notch and beautiful. It demands the road presence. The machine is a beast while off-roading.Climbs any rocky hill. The one thing that is turn off is the maintenance cost.It averages around 8-10k per normal service and 20k for major service.I personally think that it’s too much for a bike.I get an avg mileage of 32km/l, Which i don’t think is so bad.It is pretty generous for a 310 cc bike. There are lots aftermarket accessories in the market these day.If you are really looking for a off roading cruiser then this is the best available option for you.
