Yes you read that right. From a proper track to professional racers, this Kannada film features it all!
Prakash Raj shoots for the movie

Director Preetham Gubbi’s upcoming film ‘Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi’ recently shot a motocross race sequence that will feature motocross champions from various countries, including national motocross champion KP Aravind, according to a report.

Debuting with this film, the lead actor Prithvi plays a motocross racer in the film and a sequence of such expanse and measure was shot to portray the protagonist’s life. Top motocross champions from India, Sri Lanka and Dubai were part of the sequence while a proper race track was built for the same near Nagavara in Bengaluru.

Along with Aravind, other renowned names on the track like two-time Privateer Dirt Track champion MS Prince, 2013 Privateer Supercross champion Gaurav Khatri, Sri Lankan supercross champion Ishan Dasanayke and Dubai motocross champions Alex Mulpass and Mitchel Mulpass were also in the frame for this shot.

Motocross champion C Vijay Kumar is guiding Preetham and team in their efforts at the first Kannada film with motocross as the backdrop. Preetham said, "It took seven days to build the track. The shooting took three days. What I had imagined about motocross is only 10 per cent of what it really is. National champion C Vijay Kumar helped us a lot in building the track. It would have been impossible without him. This race sequence in the film will be around five minutes long."

While it was just a five-minute sequence for the film, the racers couldn’t stop themselves from throttling their bikes even when the shoot got over. The director confessed, "Once they start they have no intention of stopping. They go on and on. There was no way they would listen to me saying `cut' after I shot. Even after the shot, they would go on racing. The adrenaline rush cannot be stopped. "

There is more to this romance between the film and motorbike riding. A bigger race track is now being built near Devanahalli to shoot for the climax. "The climax will have a bigger race and it will be flood-lit race track. It will be bigger than this one. We are searching for the right place. The climax will also feature the rest of the cast in the film."
