Toyota has launched the sub-compact Raize SUV in Japan. Based on the DNGA platform, it is right up there with its competition in India with respect to size. The SUV is available in 4 variants, 11 colour options, and a 2WD and 4WD option in Japan.

Powering the Raize is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol producing 98PS/140Nm paired with a D-CVT gearbox. If it comes to India, the Raize might be powered by Maruti Suzuki engines. Some standout features are the 9-inch floating touch screen, all-digital 7-inch LED instrument cluster, adaptive cruise control, and smart panorama parking assist. The Raize is priced from 1,679,000 yen to 2,282,200 yen (Rs 10.96 lakh to Rs 14.89 lakh) in Japan. We can expect the Raize in India by late-2020.
