The Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV concept has been unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This concept is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. The Urban Cruiser BEV concept will likely come with two battery pack options paired with both FWD and AWD. Its prices are expected to start at Rs 20-22 lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival compact electric SUVs, including the Hyundai Creta Electric.

Urban Cruiser EBELLA Key Highlights

Features: The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV is expected to get a range of premium features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, 12-colour ambient lighting, a premium JBL sound system, sliding rear seats, a fixed glass roof and a central console with an integrated armrest. On the safety front, it could feature multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera with parking sensors, and ADAS functionality.

Motor: Internationally, the Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV is powered by two battery pack options: a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh unit. The smaller battery is paired with a front-wheel-drive system, producing 144 PS and 189 Nm of torque. The larger battery offers two configurations: FWD, delivering 174 PS and 189 Nm, and AWD, generating 184 PS and 300 Nm. While Toyota has not provided official range figures, the larger battery pack is expected to deliver a range of up to 550 kilometres.

Rivals: The Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV, upon launch, will compete with the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Hyundai Creta Electric.
