We were going to have a classic
We were going to have a classic 350 but saw this the meteor 350.The red color is awesome. The speedometer odometer are best.Maps also available to the right side of speedometer. Its exaust note is soft which is the best part. The hazard flashers, All types of indicators as low battery and all.Soft seat but the pillion seat is too uncomfortable as its to small and the pillion may fall if bike gets a jerk.Vibrates a bit and fuel indicators displays false information sometimes.Rest all is good.Good for long rides.Build quality is too good.Smooth gear shifting throttle response is also nice. The head lights are powerfull. You get 'r' symbol in middle of the head light which looks beautiful. The ground clearance is nice. You get disc brakes.Pickup is good.Hte service after purchase is good they respond to problems quickly.I would love to choose the meteor over any other cruiser bike.

3.8Build quality
Build quality no 1 no vibration after 1oo km/h speed body shake, But its manageable.I touch 130kph top speed.0-80km/h speed its like rocket. But foot rest should be under my butt. Why re kept in front. For this sitting i hate this bike.If you kept whole body in a one line, Then i will be more happy. Its better to buy himalayan scrambler. You are taking this much price but giving us air cooled engine, Listen boss its not england, Its hot india. Please change the engine oil you give us at service station. That is semi synthetic.Give us fully synthetic. Its just your poor merket strategy for the foolish customer. If you buy re motorbikr.Dont go service station.Try to put fully synthetic oil.And please give us 6th gear.

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Meteor 350
- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is capable of carrying the weight of two average adults.
- Selecting between Yezdi Roadster and Royal Enfield Meteor 350 would depend on several factors such as your budget preference, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is a good option for those looking for a comfortable city slicker and fancy occasional long-distance trips. At standstill, the Meteor actually feels much lighter than you’d imagine, and when you get going it feels unexpectedly responsive. The sharper rake and the way the new motorcycle carries its weight will put even less experienced riders at ease on this RE. Once you adapt to the quickness and lightness of the steering and the stretched-out seating position, you will find yourself slicing through traffic without breaking a sweat. However, the Meteor doesn’t make a bigger and bolder promise of its own by way of plush ride quality, a greater sense of richness or, crucially, better cruising ability. On the other hand, Yezdi Roadster is lean and muscular-looking, just like the Harley-Davidson Roadster. It comes equipped with all-LED lights, a headlight protector, bar-end mirrors, and a small windscreen. The Yezdi Roadster gets a teardrop-shaped 12.5-litre fuel tank with tank pads on both sides, a split-type seat, and cushioned backrest. The motorcycle is suspended on a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, it uses a 320/240mm disc setup assisted by dual-channel ABS with 'Road', 'Off-road', and 'Rain' modes. - Yes - or you can lower them a little like I have done. I have also fitted a balancer bar & it seems to help with the tendency I noticed before of being biased to the right when stopping
- It would not be a compatible option to do such modification. Moreover, you may exchange a word with the authorized service center as that will be an appropriate point of contact to get assistance for your concern. You can check the service center details here.
- It can probably be adapted or you can just ignore the heel changer & use the normal toe shifter for up & down, but - having said that, it took me two rides to get used to it & now I'm ok with it. It takes some getting used to but once you're used to it, it's ok, a bit clunky but ok.
- I own a Meteor and didn't like the heel shifter either even though I tried to get used to it. The shifter shaft is splined though and you can slip it off and rotate the toe portion so that you can actually get your toe underneath it.
- For this, we would suggest you to get in touch with the authorized service center as it may not be available. You can check the service center details here.

- RE Meteor comes with a standard seat height of 765mm. According to their official App, ie, MIY, the Low ride seat height is described to be 11mm lower than the standard one. There is no mention of lower seat height in case of Touring seats, which is a bit supportive and esthetic by design only. But some YouTube chanel describes the Touring seats to be lower, no mention of how much though. Also they claim Lowride seats to be 15-20mm lower than the standard ones, though they never reveal the source of information.
- While the low-riding seats lower the saddle height by another 20mm, the touring seat adds to the comfort and allows you to spend long hours on the saddle.Read more:- 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350: Road Test Review
- The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 could prove to be a brilliant companion for your daily commutes. The most impressive bit for me about the new Meteor 350 is its lightness. At 191kg, it isn’t a feather-light machine, but RE engineers have distributed the weight in such a manner that it feels more like a 150cc bike. The lightness not only helps in manoeuvring the bike while parking but also is a boon in negotiating your way through heavy traffic. Moreover, the healthy fuel efficiency, 10,000km oil-change intervals and 5000km/6 month service inspections make it more endearing. Read More: - Two-Wheeler Maintenance Guide
- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is equipped with a 349 cc Single-Cylinder, 4 Stroke, Air-Oil Cooled Engine only. Here, air cooling works just like conventional engines. However, there is no physical oil cooler outside the engine.
- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is equipped with a 349 cc Single-Cylinder, 4 Stroke, Air-Oil Cooled Engine that generates a max power of 20.4 PS @ 6100 rpm and a max torque of 27 Nm @ 4000 rpm.

- The halogen headlight offers good intensity but lacks spread or reach. This isn’t that much of a concern, but if you ride more in the dark, a pair of auxiliary lights is recommended.
- Selecting between the Honda Hness CB350, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Jawa 42 would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the segment, performance figures, features required, etc. Jawa is the only bike here using a short-stroke, performance-oriented engine with a 6-speed transmission. Sure it’s fast, but it lacks the retro laidback charm of an under-the-square engine, something we think is crucial for a buyer in this segment. Whereas if we talk about Royal Enfield Meteor 350, it is a good option for those looking for a comfortable city slicker and fancy occasional long-distance trips. On the other hand, if you are looking for a comfortable, easy-to-handle bike with marries old-school charm and modern sensibilities well, you may go for Honda Hness CB350. It gets a prominent thumper exhaust note and it is the most affordable bike in India to get traction control. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership.
- For any installation, we would suggest you visit the nearest authorized service centre of Royal Enfield in your city. As they may assist you better.
- The fuel tank capacity of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is 15 Litres. Moreover, fuel efficiency would depend on certain factors such as riding conditions, riding style, timely maintenance, tyre air pressure, etc. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has an ARAI claimed mileage of 41.88 kmpl.

- The main issue is heating even if you change battery optimisation settings I won't work for long. OnePlus phone heats a lot when using navigation and sometimes it is really hot. The phone might switch itself off in long rides to protect itself. The app is not that great it causes your phone to overheat and eats battery like hell
- It would be unfair to give any verdict without inspecting the bike physically so we would suggest you to get in touch with the nearest authorised service centres to get the solution to this issue. You can find service centres in this link- Service centres.
- Hello all, Its majorly because your mobiles are closing the background running app.If you are using android, go to settings, apps in that go for permission and deselect close the background running apps while not using. It will solve the issue. And also make sure you gave access to location and running of app while using app. This will sort the issue, but it will drain your battery😅

- If you are looking for a bike to mainly cruise along highways and daily use, the meteor is the best. if you are looking for a bike which can maneuver through the morning traffic with ease and do some offroad, the jawa 42 is good. the hness is good but if you are looking for a modern classic, well avoid that. it doesn't look good. in fact it looks like a big splendor. seat is good, suspension is good. if comfort is what you want, go for the meteor instead of the hness
- Meteor is best for looks and comfort but hness is best for patchi roads
- Meteor is a real mile-muncher, because it comfortably sits at 100kmph in 5th, and can do so all day long. In addition to the engine being able to cruise all day long, you’ll find yourself being able to hang in there as well because the seat is roomy and well padded. - Selecting between the Honda CB350RS and Royal Enfield Meteor 350 would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the segment, features required, ride quality, performance preference, etc. For people looking for quality and reliability, the Honda CB350RS would be the right pick. The bike packs the same counterbalancer engine from the Hness CB350 that is much refined and churns out 21.07PS at 5500rpm and 30Nm at 3000rpm, just like it does on the H’ness. It does make a compelling case for those who are looking to have a bit more zing in their retro experience. Royal Enfield Meteor 350, on the other hand, is a good option for those looking for a comfortable city slicker and fancy occasional long-distance trips. - 40+
- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is powered by an all-new 349cc air-oil cooled SOHC 2-valve motor with fuel-injection. Though there is no radiator, it gets an internal oil circuit in order to aid cooling.
- What do you mean by an internal oil circuit?
- I am also facing the same issue. it got checked and rectified 2 times but after some time it again reappears. service center personnel says they had conveyed the same to higher ups and waiting for they reply to solve the same.it seems their is some issue with the new designed engine.
- I also started having the same problem since the first minute I drove my bike after the first service, but not before the first service. So I went to the service centre and got the tappet adjusted as per the Service Manual standards and I personally checked the the tappet valve clearance(0.8mm & 0.18mm), but the problem is still there.I want to know if your problem is resolved, and if yes how was it fixed?

- Selecting the perfect bike would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the segment, features required, brand preference, usage of the bike, etc. As per your requirement, you may go with the Bajaj Dominar 400 if you want outright performance, combined with comfortable seating and ergos. On the other hand, the Himalayan would be a better pick if off-roading and long-distance journey are what you live for. Moreover, you may opt for the Dominar 250 is you want better mileage and decent performance. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. - Well, all the variants are having the same engine and performance the only difference one will spot is in the appearance. Here Fireball is the first variant, this is the most basic variant of the lot, and thanks to its basic equipment levels, it bears the closest resemblance to the erstwhile Thunderbird X 350. Points worth noting here are that the alloys are a plain black design, the tank logo is a sticker, the exhaust is blacked out, and there is no backrest. The mid-range variant is called Stellar, and it gets a chrome-finished exhaust system, a rear backrest, and 3D tank logos. However, it still has to make do with the all-black alloy wheels. On the top is Supernova variant that looks like a pukka tourer straight from the showroom, not least thanks to its large front screen. In addition to this, it also gets smart-looking diamond-cut alloy wheels, dual-tone paint schemes, and contrasting seats.
- With a big 15-litre fuel tank and a fuel efficiency of 41.9 kmpl in the city and 38.8 kmpl on the highway, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is good to go for a estimated range of 580-600 kms. Moreover, the range may vary depending on the riding conditions, tyre air pressure, riding style, etc.

- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is a good option for those looking for a comfortable city slicker and fancy occasional long distance trips. At standstill the Meteor actually feels much lighter than you’d imagine, and when you get going it feels unexpectedly responsive. The sharper rake and the way the new motorcycle carries its weight will put even less experienced riders at ease on this RE. Once you adapt to the quickness and lightness of the steering and the stretched out seating position, you will find yourself slicing through traffic without breaking a sweat. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. - I am 5'6'. I could comfortably place both my feet flat on ground using stock seat. Touring seat further provides a 20mm breathing space(2 cms roughly). I didn't find too much difference when it came to touring seat and height but for your height, I believe it will make a difference. The bike doesn't really feel that heavy. I test drove it and it is really comfortable. Test drive it once and then decide. Take your time to comfortably assess your feet reaching capability when you test drive. I did other research before hand and didn't worry about vibrations or other usual stuff while test riding. I only looked for my comfort, turning radius, whether it feels heavy, touring seat usage etc.,
- As per your requirements, we'd suggest you to opt for the Royal Enfield Himalayan for its brilliant city slicking abilities. Despite the arrival of new rivals, it continues to outshine them as an all-rounder. It’s a nice motorcycle to tour the country on, and even if you don’t actually do so, it makes you look like the sort of person who does so with regularity. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 would be a brilliant option if you are eyeing for a cruiser bike with a great engine and features. The new J Platform motor is a clear step change from the UCE, making the Meteor 350 a far more well-rounded motorcycle than any of the previous 350s. It’s not just the engine, the gearbox feels more grown up too and the bike handles itself and its weight rather well. However, a plush ride and a bit more poke from the engine would’ve made the Meteor 350 a far more characterful and engaging motorcycle, the likes of which we’ve never seen from a single-cylinder RE before. - Generally, 10-12% of the overall tank capacity is determined as the reserve capacity of the bike. The Meteor 350 comes equipped with an 15-litre fuel tank and the low-fuel warning comes on when there is around 5-Litres of fuel left in the tank. - The shorter stroke design for the Meteor 350 helps it rev better and it doesn’t gasp for breath at high rpms either. Even in 5th, which is an overdrive gear, you get a bit more shove when you twist the throttle the last couple of degrees. As a result, fewer gear changes interrupt your highway, allowing you to sink deeper into the easy-riding experience. You can sit in the indicated 90-100kmph zone comfortably, and even though it starts to feel busy at 110kmph, it doesn’t get thrashy or crude. - The H’ness CB350 follows in the same footsteps as the CB1100 EX and CB750, the small made-for-India roadster bearing the same CB silhouette. One can draw parallels to the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 as both are very representative of an early-1970s design. As for the Meteor 350, the thump wrapped up in a refined, easy to ride, confident and practical package sounds just right. However, when it comes to the spec sheet, there's no denying that the CB350 comes out on top, with the Meteor a close second. But that notion soon changes when you consider the Meteor's price features list. So when it comes to value proposition, Royal Enfield’s latest offering makes more sense, especially over the previous-gen Thunderbird 350X. - As per your requirements, Dominar 250 would be a better pick. Is is suitable enough for city commutes as well as for highway long rides. Certainly Meteor is refined as compared to other 350 cc Royal Enfield bikes but between these two, it is the Dominar 250 that is properly refined and is butter smooth even when cruising at 100kmph. The ratios of the 6-speed transmission are well spaced for better low-mid-range performance. Keep the tachometer needle hovering between 2000 and 3000rpm, and the bike can move along without any issues. As far as the features are concerned, the bike is loaded with premium bits like an all-LED lighting system, full-digital instrument cluster, and power cruiser-like styling with a comfortable touring-friendly riding position. The instrument cluster isn’t as detailed as its bigger sibling with real-time mileage indicators and such, but it is informative enough to fulfil its basic purpose. If we talk about Meteor 350, This Royal Enfield fulfills the promise made by the Thunderbird many years ago. However, the Meteor doesn’t make a bigger and bolder promise of its own by way of plush ride quality, a greater sense of richness or, crucially, better cruising ability. You may compare both bikes accordingly. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- Thanks for this detailed information. Just one more question: If top end performance is not must, then is dominar 400 better pick than 250? Will 40-50k more money worth for bigger sibling? Considering that 400 is more tried and tested ; 250 is not yet tested at that extend. Those chunky USD forks and 150 section rare tyre makes me crave more for 400 than 250. Although, I am not sure if those are worth 40-50k more (considering that 250cc power is enough for me)?
- You will find heating issue and poor mileage in city ride...and managing in bumper traffic...taking you turn on bad patches would be a challenge...

- Selecting between the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and KTM 250 Duke would depend on certain factors such as your budget, features required, preference of the segment, riding traits, usage of the bike, etc. The 250 Duke with its relaxed motor and comfy suspension is a great choice for those who aren’t looking to set lap records but want something quick and convenient for everyday use. On the other hand, the Meteor 350 offers a thump wrapped up in a refined, easy to ride, confident and practical package that sounds just right. The healthy fuel efficiency, 10,000km oil-change intervals and 5000km/6 month service inspections make it more endearing. - ZigWheel’s globally accepted and appreciated chai cup test proves that the Meteor’s use of a counterbalancer cuts out vibrations to modern-motorcycle levels. We’d reckon it is even better than the Himalayan! While there is a slight pulse to be felt at lower speeds, your palms, feet, and other unmentionables won't throb, tingle or buzz after a long stint in the saddle. Apart from it, we haven't observed any issue in the clutch. The clutch is light, gearshifts slick, so you won’t mind slamming through the box and revving it up. You may compare both the bikes accordingly.

- I'm 6 feet tall. This bike looked like a toy when I sat on it because of my height. And it really looked awkward. Even the sales person was saying like Sir the bike is looking very small compared to your height. I had a RE Classic 350 but I sold it a month back thinking that I will buy this model. I was so much inclined towards buying this beast but I was really disappointed and disheartened by the seat height. Should have been a bit more on the upper side. Rest is fine with the Meteor 350. - Selecting the perfect bike depends on various factors such as your budget, ride quality, drive type, engine performance, features required, etc. Here, Jawa is the only bike here using a short-stroke, performance-oriented engine with a 6-speed transmission. Sure it’s fast, but it lacks the retro laidback charm of an under square engine, something we think is crucial for a buyer in this segment. Whereas, the CB 350 makes the best of both worlds: it’s not only powerful but also makes most of its torque lower down the rev range. All bikes here, except the Jawa, run long-stroke motors, with an even spread of torque throughout the rev range -- so they manage just fine with 5-speed transmissions. While both the CB350 and Meteor sport counterbalanced engines for better refinement, the winner here based on specs alone would have to be the CB350 with its true retro charm and loads of bottom-end torque. - As of now, there is no official update available from the brand's end regarding the launch of Avenger 400. The cruiser is most likely to make its debut early next year. On the other hand, the Meteor 350 is here and is all set to make an impact in the cruiser bike segment. Powered by an all-new BS6-compliant 349cc single-cylinder SOHC 2-valve air-cooled engine with counterbalancer, it makes 20.4PS at 6100rpm and a healthy torque of 27Nm at 4000rpm licked to a 5-speed gearbox. - I have done couple of long rides on hness. Easy to do 400kms a day with split seats. Yet to take my meteor out on a long ride (will post once I get a chance to). But I must say short distance drive (50 kms) is more fun on meteor. Meteor has better gearing and gear changes are very smooth.
- I have both , but Hness is more powerful bike get top end easily 130+ whereas Meteor slower than Hness.
- Both are comfortable for long ride, meteor slight edge over Hness CB 350, over all hness is good.
- Both bikes are good enough. Royal Enfield Classic 350 has the quintessential classic motorcycle styling, fuel injection has improved fuel efficiency, brakes offer much better bite and stopping power. It is far from a perfect bike even in its BS6 avatar. However, in a world where everybody is trying to go retro and neo-retro, it remains the OG retro motorcycle in essence and feel. On the other hand, if we talk about Meteor, the thump wrapped up in a refined, easy to ride, confident and practical package sounds just right. The lack of oil leaks, or missing parts over our 800km stint makes the package more joyous. The healthy fuel efficiency, 10,000km oil-change intervals and 5000km/6 month service inspections make it more endearing. So, this Royal Enfield fulfills the promise made by the Thunderbird many years ago. However, the Meteor doesn’t make a bigger and bolder promise of its own by way of plush ride quality, a greater sense of richness or, crucially, better cruising ability. You may compare both bikes accordingly. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.

- RE Meteor i a cruiser and they must give kick starter as it is very beneficial in case of battery failure during extreme colds or if some problem occurs while cruising on highways. They are already offering kick start in classic 350 and bullet 350. There was no need to remove the kick start. It is always beneficial to have a kick starter along with the electric start in case of emergency and extreme winters to cold start the bike. I don't understand the reason why most of the companies are removing kick start in their bikes, This is not a costly feature to add on but it is extremely important in case of emergency. I own a Bajaj Avenger 220 and I have experienced the problems one has to face when there is a problem in self starter in middle of the road. I hope the bike manufacturing companies read my comment and stop removing kick start from bikes.I am very much interested in RE Meteor but the only reason I cannot make my mind to buy it is because there is no kick start on it.
- I wanted to purchase meteor bike which is more suitable for my height but it doesn't have kick start and there are many reason to buy this bike but only reason to ignore that is kick start feature. As you know there are lot of problem have to face when there is only one provision avail that is electric start. Manufacturers should consider and manufacture with both provision. Thank you

- BOOKED A CUSTOMISED SUPERNOVA 0N 14 NOV ONLINE FOR DELIVERY IN GUWAHATI, NO INFORMATION AS ON 01 JAN 2021. BIKES WERE AVAILABLE OF THE SHELF FROM A FEW DEALERS FOR INSTANT DELIVERY JUST A WEEK BACK. SOMETHING IS FISHY. RESPONSE FROM RE HELPDESK IS JUST TOO POOR. THEY DON'T EVEN REPLY TO YOUR MAIL WITH RESOLUTION. DELAERS ARE EITHER CLUELESS OF DELIVERY SCHEDULE OR THEY ARE INTO SOMETHING ELSE (NO NEED TO MENTION WHAT DOES IT MEANS), RE NEEDS TO REVAMP ITS CUSTOMER SUPPORT DESK DRASTICALLY FOR ONLINE BOOKINGS.I FEEL ONLINE BOOKINGS FOR CUSTOMISED BIKES ARE LIKELY TO BE DELAYED. BEST WAY FOR AN EARLY DELIVERY IS TO STEP INTO DELEARSHIP AND BOOK THROUGH THEM.
