He is driven around Chennai as he answers questions about himself
The batsman found the Tiago’s 315km claimed range to be impressive.
Jio Cinema’s new Tiago.EV Electric Stars series brings you up close and personal with your favourite cricketers as they ride shotgun in the new Tata Tiago EV. And in the second episode, CSK’s own Ruturaj Gaikwad is featured as he goes around sightseeing in Chennai, while answering a few questions and sharing his experiences.

The batsman was actually flummoxed when he initially sat inside the car and asked the host to turn it on but the Tiago EV was already on! The silence of an EV got to him in this case. They then spent time around the lanes of Chennai, exploring the city before they stopped at a traditional saree showroom as we got to know him more and more along the ride.
Ruturaj Gaikwad was actually impressed by the fact that the Tiago EV offers a claimed range of 315km on a full charge. He then did some quick calculations which had him conclude that he can do Pune to Lonavala and back on a single charge and he was more than satiated. It is able to achieve this figure through its 24kWh battery pack the long range variant gets. The lower trims come with a smaller 19.2kWh battery with a claimed range of 250km. Take a look at the detailed specifications of Tiago EV:

Along the journey, they jammed to some tunes blasted via the hatchback’s Harman eight-speaker sound system, controlled through its seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The jamming session also included Ruturaj getting into details of his likes/dislikes, his responsibilities and commitment towards his team and how it was for him to be a teacher’s son growing up. The episode concluded on a rather wholesome note, with Ruturaj Gaikwad getting one of the traditional sarees packed for his mom. You can check out the entire video here below:
Apart from this series, the Tata Tiago EV has been the car to associate with cricket this year, as it is also the official vehicle for the 2023 IPL season. As a result, the car is getting battered during matches, more information about which here.

Priced between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 11.99 lakh, the Tiago EV is a rare electric hatchback in a sea of ICE-powered models. It takes on the Citroen eC3 and smaller MG Comet EV.
