Volkswagen India Commences Pre-launch Bookings For The Taigun

The upcoming Hyundai Creta rival is expected to be launched by September 2021

Volkswagen India has commenced pre-launch bookings for the Creta-rivalling Taigun. You can book VW’s upcoming SUV via the official website or closest dealership for a token of Rs 25,000. The Taigun’s production will begin on August 18 before its expected launch by September 2021.

Volkswagen will offer the Taigun’s 1-litre TSI engine in standard trims while the 1.5-litre TSI unit will be exclusive to the GT. The latter will also be available in multiple variants: manual (GT) and DSG (GT+). This should allow Volkswagen to keep pricing competitive for those opting for the larger petrol engine.

Now let’s look at the features and creature comforts. The upcoming SUV will be offered with a 10.1-inch infotainment system, connected car tech, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, automatic climate control, a single-pane sunroof, and ambient lighting. 

Passenger safety is taken care of by up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with rear view camera, electronic stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
