The SUV boasts a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine good for 345PS and 700Nm at the moment in India

  • The Malayali actor has opted for the Dynamic HSE variant finished in Santorini Black.
  • It is shod with 22-inch wheels in Satin Dark Grey.
  • The Range Rover Sport Dynamic HSE variant is priced at Rs 1.71 crore (ex-showroom).

Although bookings for the latest iteration of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport commenced way back in May 2022, the very first SUV was delivered only recently, and that too to Malayalam movie star Tovino Thomas of Minnal Murali fame. Finished in a super stealth Santorini Black shade, we believe it is the Dynamic HSE trim. For reference, the SUV is available in 4 variants: Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography and the First Edition.  Prices for the 2022 Range Rover Sport range between Rs 1.64 crore and Rs 1.84 crore (ex-showroom).

This particular Range Rover Sport Dynamic HSE variant is priced at Rs 1.71 crore (ex-showroom), which also means the on-road price is well over the Rs 2 crore mark. The specifics of the build are not available but we can see that the actor has opted for the 22-inch wheels finished in Satin Dark Grey to complete the all-black look.

The 2022 L461 generation is a major step-up from its predecessor when it comes to design. The new SUV now looks oh-so-sharp and is undoubtedly one of the best-looking SUVs out there. The sloping roofline, frameless doors with no window garnish, and flush door handles are some of the design highlights. All this also results in a 0.29 drag coefficient, which is commendable for an SUV of this stature. The cabin is also completely revamped and it now features a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with JLR’s Pivi Pro software and a digital driver display.

Some of the interesting kit on offer are the 22-way powered front seats with heating and ventilation, optional 1430W 29-speaker Meridian sound system, soft-closing doors, active noise cancellation, dynamic air suspension and optional all-wheel steering. For India, Land Rover is only offering the Sport with the 3.0-litre six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine along with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Output figures are rated at 345PS and 700Nm, coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which obviously sends these numbers to all four wheels. Although Land Rover does not currently offer any other engine options in India, it has started taking bookings for the P440e with a 3.0-litre petrol engine that also features the plug-in hybrid setup. This engine develops 440PS and 620Nm.
