Will be the fastest iteration of the SUV, with several first-time technologies from the carmaker.
Likely to borrow the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine from the larger Range Rover SV.
Launch timeline to be revealed at the launch; India arrival should be on the cards in late 2024.
Will be priced at a premium over the current Range Rover Sport that retails from Rs 1.64 crore (ex-showroom).
The Range Rover Sport arrived in an all-new, sleeker avatar last year, and this year, the carmaker is about to unveil its performance-oriented, range-topping variant. The global premiere of the Range Rover Sport SV is slated for May 31, 2023, and it’ll go up against the Porsche Cayenne S, Audi SQ7 and BMW X5 M Competition.

Standard Range Rover Sport for representation only
Being the range-topping variant of the Range Rover Sport, the new Sport SV should get the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine option from BMW that’s also offered on the larger Range Rover Sport (Autobiography and SV models only). In addition, the Sport SV should get the existing 3-litre petrol plug-in hybrid and diesel mild-hybrid powertrain options.
Meanwhile in India, the Range Rover Sport gets a single powertrain, the 345PS diesel-mild-hybrid. In comparison, the twin-turbo V8 engine makes 440-530PS in the larger Range Rover (depending on the variant) and we should see similar outputs from the Sport SV as well.

Standard Range Rover Sport interior for representation only
The Sport SV won’t just be all about the performance, it’ll also offer top-shelf luxury features and bespoke options. For one, the SUV will likely get subtle exterior trim changes for a more premium aesthetic. It’ll also get unique personalisation options under SV Bespoke that offers numerous paint, SV-specific wheels and interior upholstery materials and wood trims to choose from.

In addition, the SUV will get all the kit and gadgets from the existing Range Rover Sport, including a 29-speaker Meridian sound system, a 3D surround-view camera, a panoramic sunroof, active noise cancellation and 22-way powered front seats with heating and ventilation.

Later, the luxury SUV will likely make its way to India sometime in 2024, priced at a sizable premium over the existing Range Rover Sport diesel that retails from Rs 1.64 crore to Rs 1.84 crore (ex-showroom).
