Jaguar Land Rover has appointed Thierry Bollore as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Bollore will take charge on September 10, replacing Ralf Speth who will continue at Jaguar Land Rover but as the Non-Executive Vice Chairman.
Bollore has had extensive experience in the automotive industry in a career spanning over three decades from 1990. He last served as the CEO of Groupe Renault before being ousted in October 2019. Reports suggest his last days at the Renault-Nissan Group were tumultuous in the wake of Carlos Ghosn’s arrest. Bollore has previously also held a senior position at Faurecia, a global automotive supplier.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman of Tata Sons, Natarajan Chandrasekaran, said, “I am delighted to welcome Thierry to Jaguar Land Rover. An established global business leader with a proven track record of implementing complex transformations, Thierry will bring a wealth of experience to one of the most revered positions in the industry.”
