In an effort to brace for impact from the wrecking ball (read the Hyundai Verna), Skoda has come up with the Rapid Monte Carlo edition. The pricing is as follows:
- Rapid Monte Carlo Petrol Manual: Rs 10.75 lakh
- Rapid Monte Carlo Petrol Automatic: Rs 11.98 lakh
- Rapid Monte Carlo Diesel Manual: Rs 12.46 lakh
- Rapid Monte Carlo Diesel Automatic: Rs 13.58 lakh

For a premium of about Rs 50,000 on top of the Style variant, the Monte Carlo edition adds the following cosmetic updates:
- An option of red or white body colour
- Dual-tone paint job with black roof
- Contrasting black colour for front grille, outside rearview mirrors, headlamp and taillight accents, B-pillars and black rear spoiler
- Dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels
- Black interior
- Contrast red stitching on upholstery and steering wheel
- Ribbed stainless steel pedals
- Leather-wrapped flat bottom steering wheel
- Metallic door sill plate with Monte Carlo badging
The car otherwise remains identical to the Style variant as the special edition leaves the feature list intact. Standout features of the car include cruise control, automatic wipers, auto dimming mirror, climate control, rear AC vents, rear parking sensors, reversing camera and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity options.

The Rapid comes with a 1.6-litre petrol engine that makes 110PS of power and 153Nm of torque. The diesel engine is a 1.5-litre mill that churns out 105PS of power and 250Nm of torque. Both the engines come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine is also available with a 6-speed torque converter automatic while the diesel gets a 7-speed dual clutch (DSG) automatic. The petrol engine delivers a fuel efficiency of 15.4kmpl with the manual transmission and 14.8kmpl with the automatic. The diesel engine is good for 21.1kmpl with the manual gearbox and 21.7kmpl with the automatic.
Other variants of the Skoda Rapid are priced between Rs 8.2 lakh and Rs 11.46 lakh for the petrol engine and Rs 9.58 lakh and Rs 13.06 lakh for the diesel engine.
