Porsche Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS launched in India

The range topping Porsche Boxster GTS is priced at Rs 1.15 Crore while the Porsche Cayman GTS is prices at Rs 1.17 Crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both cars feature updated powerplants with higher power ratings than the equivalent S versions.

Porsche Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS launched in India

Porsche India has launched a new GTS variant of both the Cayman and the Boxster with more power than ever before. The 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS is priced at Rs 1.17 Crore while the 2015 Porsche Boxster GTS is priced slightly lower at Rs 1.15 Crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Essentially, the GTS moniker is used to denote a faster and more driver focused version of Porsche cars including the Cayenne and the 911.

The 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS features a 3.4-litre, six-cylinder motor with 340PS of peak power (15 more than the Cayman S) and comes with Porsche’s 7-speed twin-clutch PDK gearbox. The Cayman GTS can get from 0-100kmph in just 4.6 seconds and on to a claimed top speed of 283kmph.

The convertible 2015 Porsche Boxster GTS on the other hand features the same 3.40litre straight-six engine with 330PS of peak power (15 more than the Boxster S). The droptop Bosxter, long recognised as one of the best driving cars in the world can get from 0-100kmph in 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 279kmph.

Speaking on the occasion, Anil Reddi, Director, Porsche India, said, “With the introduction of the GTS versions of the Boxster and Cayman, we are catering to Porsche purists and true sports car enthusiasts in the country. These two new Porsche sports cars excel visually and dynamically, and assure a rewarding ownership and driving experience.”

Both the Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS feature Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard, which offers the driver a choice of sportier or more comfortable settings at the press of a button. Both cars get 235/35 R20 tyres at the front and 265/35 R20 at the rear on 20-inch Carrera S wheels providing both a sportier and more aggressive look and added performance. Like other Porsche GTS models, both two-seaters come with standard sports seats and leather interiors enhanced with Alcantara inserts.
