Mahindra recently unleashed the XUV700 three-row SUV at introductory prices starting from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). While we think it's an unbelievable starting point, is it enough to wow the general public? We conducted an Instagram poll to find out just that.

The poll saw 1,244 participants share their views on the XUV700’s pricing and it's been overwhelmingly positive. Out of the total, 1,073 were completely on board with the pricing, which isn’t that much of a surprise considering the kit on offer. Meanwhile, 171 participants felt Mahindra could have done better with the XUV700.

It’ll be offered in the MX and AX (AdrenoX) trims in 5- and 7-seater options. Despite Mahindra having revealed prices of only the 5-seater petrol-manual variants up to the AX5 and the MX diesel so far, it's been a good start for the XUV700. It comes with a boatload of features, powered by 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, and can be paired with either 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The diesel engine will also get an optional all-wheel drivetrain.

Mahindra will reveal the prices of the remaining variants at a later date, with deliveries likely to commence by October 2021. The XUV700 is priced from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and takes on the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar. It can also be an alternative to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, and Tata Harrier.
