Maruti has officially opened bookings for the all-new 2018 Ertiga, which will be launched on 21 November 2018. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is expected to be competitively priced and command a slight premium over the outgoing model which is priced from Rs 6.34 lakh to Rs 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). There will be 10 variants to choose from, six petrol (including two automatic transmission-equipped variants) and four diesel.

The all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will feature a comprehensively updated design, with inspiration taken from the Toyota Innova Crysta, Mitsubishi Xpander and the likes. It is bigger on the outside, which should make it more spacious on the inside as well.

Powering the Ertiga will be the new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol motor paired to an SHVS mild-hybrid system from the new Ciaz along with the familiar 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder DDiS 200 SHVS diesel engine. Maruti claims that the new Ertiga will be safer than before too as it is based on the fifth-gen Heartect platform which also underpins the new Swift siblings.

Prices for the all-new Ertiga are expected to start from Rs 7.5 lakh. It will take on the Renault Lodgy and the Honda BR-V directly. It is expected to put a dent on the sales of the Mahindra Marazzo as well.
