Suzuki has revealed an off-road concept based on the crossover SUV, Fronx. Called the Fronx Sea Bass Night Game concept, this comes ahead of the Tokyo Auto Salon, scheduled to take place from January 10 to 12, 2025. The carmaker has released a single image of the car, highlighting its rugged and accessorized look, alongside a few other unique and quirky concepts based on the Wagon R and Swift. Let’s take a closer look at the Fronx’s concept in particular to see what’s in store for us.
What sets this concept apart from the standard Fronx is its distinctive paint job. The body features a matte grey finish with a patterned design, while the pillar adds some gloss black for contrast.
The front fascia closely resembles the regular Fronx, but the concept stands out with a darker grey skid plate with plenty of neon green accents that definitely stand out.

Moving to the side profile, the neon green highlights appear on the wheel arches, side skid plates, and behind the rear windows. Obviously, one won’t miss the chunky tyres with super tall side walls and alloys that mimic an off-roader. Additional features include roof-mounted LEDs at the front and a roof rack fitted with a large storage roof box. Details about the rear design are kept under wraps, but it’s likely the neon green brand decal extends onto the boot gate from the rear fenders.
This concept is not essentially a fully equipped off-roader with mechanical upgrades but rather an off-road-inspired version, heavily customized and accessorized by the carmaker. While it’s unlikely to make its way to production or reach our shores, it’s certain to grab attention at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
The Fronx crossover sold in India comes well-equipped with features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, a heads-up display, keyless entry, push-button start-stop, cruise control, and automatic climate control.

In terms of safety, the Fronx offers ABS with EBD, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts and reverse parking sensors.

Under the hood, the Fronx provides two petrol engine options: a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder producing 90 PS and 113 Nm, and a 1-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol delivering 100 PS and 148 Nm. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual as standard, a 5-speed AMT for the naturally aspirated engine, and a 6-speed torque converter for the turbo-petrol variant. Additionally, the 1.2-litre engine is available with a factory-fitted CNG kit, producing 77.5 PS and 98.5 Nm in CNG mode.
Priced between Rs 7.52 lakh and Rs 12.88 lakh (ex-showroom), the Fronx competes with rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Exter, Hyundai Venue, Citroen Basalt, Mahindra XUV3XO, Kia Sonet, Toyota Taisor and Nissan Magnite.
