Locally Assembled Range Rover Velar Launched At Rs 72.47 Lakh

Update: Land Rover India has started deliveries of the locally assembled Velar today. The SUV is priced at Rs 72.47 lakh (ex-showrrom India) and will be available only in the R Dynamic S variant.

Jaguar Land Rover has launched the locally assembled version of the Velar in India which is priced at Rs 72.47 Lakh  (ex-showroom India). The SUV is now available with a choice of 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines and is offered in a single variant - the Velar R Dynamic S. Local assembly has helped JLR price the 2019 Velar considerably lower than the CBU version that was available before. Check out the old and new price below. Meanwhile, bookings are open and deliveries will start from May 2019.

The CBU version of the Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic S was priced at Rs 88.88 lakh for both the diesel and  petrol variants. The locally assembled version, on the other hand, is aggressively priced at Rs 72.47 lakh. The price difference between the two models is a whopping Rs 16.42 lakh.

Powering the Velar R-Dynamic S diesel is a 2.0-litre unit that produces 179PS of power and 430Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre petrol motor, on the other hand, makes 250PS of power and 365Nm of torque. Both these engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

As for features, the SUV now gets optional extras such as 20-inch wheels, park assist, and active key as standard. Goodies such as the Touch Pro Duo infotainment system and the 380W Meridian audio system have been retained.

 09th April 2019, Mumbai: Jaguar Land Rover India, today announced the start of local manufacturing of Range Rover Velar. The Range Rover Velar will be available in 2.0 l Petrol (184 kW) and 2.0 l Diesel (132 kW) powertrains and priced at Rs 72.47 Lakh (ex-showroom India).

 Available in the R-Dynamic S derivative, the locally manufactured Range Rover Velar will be fully loaded with progressive design, technology and luxury features. Some of these features include Touch Pro Duo, Activity Key, Wi-Fi and Pro Services, Meridian Sound System (380W), Four-zone Climate Control, Cabin Air Ionisation, Premium Leather interiors, 50.8 cm (20) wheels with Full size spare wheel, R-Dynamic exterior pack, Adaptive Dynamics, Premium LED headlights with signature LED DRL, Park Assist etc.
