Kia finally took the wraps off of its first SUV for India - the Seltos. Renault too made the global debut of the Triber MPV and we have to say it looks nothing like its similarly priced rivals. Isuzu gave its pick-up, the D-Max V-Cross a facelift, which looks more brutish than before. And MG Motor made the all-important announcement regarding the Hector. Rounding things up last week was the Future-S concept micro SUV from Maruti, which got a name.
Kia Takes Wraps Of The Seltos; Looks Upmarket:
Kia finally unveiled its first product for India, the Seltos. The compact SUV retains plenty of its styling bits from the SP Concept which is impressive. Like the exterior, the interior looks equally premium and upmarket. The Seltos also gets three engine options -- a pair of 1.5-litre diesel and petrol units and a 1.4-litre turbocharged T-GDi petrol unit. What really stands out though is the fact that there are four transmission options on offer as well, something unheard of in India. Sounds tempting isn’t it? Head here for more details of the Seltos.
Renault Triber Unveiled; Set To Disrupt The Segment:
After much anticipation, Renault unveiled its first sub-4 metre MPV, the Triber. And the main talking point here is the ‘Ultra Modular’ tag. Thanks to its modularity options, it can offer various arrangements to accommodate people and luggage. It is powered by a new 1.0-litre engine that puts out 72PS and 96Nm. The Triber is said to be priced aggressively to disrupt the B-segment hatchbacks, thanks to its 7-seat option.
Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Facelift Launched; Looks Butch:
the automobile community
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has got a midlife facelift. It gets a bold looking front face now, new alloy wheels, tail lamps and a rear bumper. Isuzu has also given it a sportier all-black interior and the facelift gets additional gizmos too. But there’s one major thing that remains unchanged.
MG Hector Finally Gets A Launch Date:
MG Motor India has begun the test drives of the Hector. The manufacturer has also started accepting bookings for the SUV for a token amount of Rs 50,000. And we bet those of you who have already booked one must be eagerly waiting to know the launch date. Fret not, the answer is right here.
Maruti Suzuki’s Future-S Gets A Name:
Maruti Suzuki’s Future-S concept stole the show when it was displayed at the 2018 Auto Expo. Likely to sit between the Alto and Wagon R, the Future-S displayed the company’s latest design language that is expected to trickle down to other Marutis too. Set to take on the Kwid, the Future-S has finally got a name.
