Ford's Emergency Assistance provides peace of mind and reassurance to the drive by informing emergency services in the even of an accident. Emergency Assistance is designed to make an emergency call, provide vehicle location information, and communicate within the emergency services in the event you are unable to do so (Ford EcoSport : Road Test). 

In the even of the an accident the vehicle location is detected by the vehicle GPS. The SYNCH system allows the occupant to the take the phone with them out of the car if they can and contunue the call with the emergency services.
