DieselTRONIC is an ECU tuning kit manufactured by a company called Race Dynamics India. The firm based in Bangalore was started in the year 2004 as India’s only company to be involved in automotive engine control unit tuning in motorsports.
The DieselTRONIC Electronic Combustion Unit is a performance and economy enhancing electronic tuning devices for cars. Race Dynamics uses different electronic maps in their DieselTRONIC tuning unit that can be changed on-the-go to suit the driving style and requirements of the driver while on the move. The DieselTRONIC unit is a universal device that can be connected to any diesel car with a Common Rail Direct Injection engine. It is a simple plug-in device that does not require tampering with the original wiring of the car. The unit is manufactured with water proof automotive grade components and connectors ensuring its safety and reliability.
The DieselTRONIC unit is equipped with a patented technology called Adaptive-Self Learning (ADSL). ADSL analyses a driver’s driving style and automatically makes the electronic maps enhance and deliver the kind of engine response demanded by the driver.
The DieselTRONIC unit also comes equipped with four remote controlled switchable electronic maps that allow the driver to switch between the kind of performance and economy demanded.

The first mode called ‘P2’ is aimed at increased power off-peak up to 40% and torque peak up to 30%.
The second mode, ‘P1’ is used to deliver a balance between performance and economy. This mode increases mileage up to 25% while increasing power and torque output by 15%. This mode requires the driver to shift gears early.
The third mode is called ‘E’ which stands for Economy mode. The Economy mode reduces turbo spike resulting in linear power delivery, enhances engine refinement and increases mileage up to 40%.
The fourth mode termed ‘S’ restores engine performance to the stock ECU setting created by the manufacturer.
An additional map on offer from Race Dynamics for the DieselTRONIC unit is called DieselTRONIC LITE. The DieselTRONIC LITE map raises power and torque output by 40% while increasing mileage by 15%.
While all the individual performance maps meet their claims in terms of real world performance, users say that performance increase works as stated up to a speed of 120 km/h beyond which the diesel engine performs as per its standard performance map designed by its manufacturer.
