Automobili Pininfarina To Showcase PF0 Hypercar At Pebble Beach

Italian exotica and Pebble Beach go hand in hand. The Concours d’Elegance held at Pebble Beach should be extra special this time round with Automobili Pininfarina gearing up to display a full-scale design concept of their upcoming hypercar - the PF0.

Inspired by properly stunning cars such as the Modulo, Cisitalia and Sintesi, the PF0, Pininfarina says, is ‘in the final stages of design’. We’ve got not much to soak in at the moment. But if the old design teasers are anything to go by, the PF0 promises to drop jaws in awe. Think of something that Speed Racer would be happy driving.

To go with the outright racy exterior, is (what looks like) a thoroughly futuristic cabin. Teasers dropped by Pininfarina point towards a driver-centric cockpit with a meaty flat-bottom steering and two screens to house all sorts of information. We can also spot some splashes of carbon-fibre and double stitches on the dash, both of which scream bespoke.

Speaking of bespoke, the PF0 will have a limited run. Only 150 units will be made worldwide. Each car will be handcrafted at Pininfarina’s facility in Turin, Italy. And, don’t think it’s meant to be a garage queen. The specs promised are staggering too. Propelled by electricity, the PF0 is aiming at a sub-2 second 0-100kmph time and a top speed of over 402kmph. All this while ensuring zero emissions.
