Mahindra has launched the Scorpio N Carbon, priced at Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom). It majorly features a new all-black look with notable cosmetic tweaks that add to more dominance in the Scorpio N’s rather significantly popular road presence. As for features, there aren’t any additions to note and it carries the same powertrain underneath its hood. Let’s take a detailed look at this special edition.
The Scorpio N Carbon is essentially the standard model with an all-black makeover. There aren’t any drastic changes at the front: it retains the same LED lighting, chrome accents on the grille, and light surrounds. However, the most noticeable tweak is the dark grey skid plate, replacing the light silver one seen on the regular variant.
From the side, the familiar silhouette remains intact, but the real difference lies in the absence of contrasting elements. The silver finishes on the body cladding and roof rails, chrome surrounds beneath the window panels, and body-coloured ORVMs are all blacked out. Additionally, the dual-tone alloy wheels have been replaced with completely blacked-out ones, enhancing the stealthy look.
At the rear, the LED taillight design remains unchanged. However, the door handles feature a dark chrome finish, and like the front, the rear skid plate is finished in dark grey, adding to the overall theme.
Step inside, and the all-black interior theme continues. The upholstery follows a black/grey combination, while the dashboard layout remains familiar, accented by silver surrounds on the centre console, AC vents, and door handles. The steering wheel retains slight chrome touches, with a silver finish on two of its spokes.
In terms of features, there are no additional upgrades. This edition carries over all the equipment from the top-spec Scorpio N. Highlights include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 7-inch instrument cluster, wireless phone charger with cooling function, auto headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, 12-speaker Sony sound system, ventilated front seats with 6-way power adjustment for driver side, auto-dimming IRVM, steering mounted audio and calling controls, rear wiper, washer and demister.
When it comes to safety, the Scorpio N Carbon is well-equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold/descent control, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX and front and rear parking sensors.
