Jeep Compass Diesel Automatic Now Becomes More Affordable By A Whopping Rs 6 Lakh!

Jeep India has launched the Compass’ diesel automatic powertrain, which was earlier offered only with all-wheel drive with a front-wheel drivetrain. Prices for this new powertrain start at Rs 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which is almost Rs 6 lakh more affordable than before! Also, the SUV maker has dropped the Compass’ entry-level pricing to Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom), which is around Rs 1.2 lakh more affordable than before. Also, it has introduced a new Black Shark edition with cosmetic enhancements for the MY2024 model.

More Affordable Jeep Compass Diesel AT 

The Jeep Compass gets a 170PS 2-litre diesel engine, teamed with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The former gets just front-wheel drive, while the latter has only all-wheel drive. Now, in a bid to make the Compass diesel AT more accessible, the carmaker has introduced the same with front-wheel drive, a combination that debuted in the Meridian. 

Not only has it made the Compass diesel AT more accessible, it’s also more fuel efficient at 16.2kmpl.

Jeep Compass Black Shark Edition And MY2024 Updates 

Jeep has also taken the opportunity to introduce a new Black Shark Edition for the Compass, prices for which start from Rs 26.49 lakh (ex-showroom). As its name suggests, this particular trim gets blacked out badging, grille, alloys and roof. The grille and wheels are also different, which will be carried forward to the MY2024 Compass. Also, the interior is finished in black with plenty of red inserts and stitching for a sportier look. It sits between the Limited (O) and top-spec Model S (O) trim in the compass' variants list.
