Audi India has launched the ‘Special Edition’ for the Q5 luxury SUV, which is based on the Technology trim. Available only for a limited time, the Q5 Special Edition gets a host of cosmetic updates for a sportier outlook. It also commands a few extra bucks over the top-spec trim, as illustrated in this table below:

The Q5 Special Edition commands a premium of Rs 85,000 over the top-spec Technology trim. For the extra dough, you get a SUV that looks much sportier than the standard trims.

Black is the theme of the Q5 Special Edition as this trim gets Audi’s black styling package. So elements like the front grille, badging, roof rails, and the ORVMs are now finished in black. Plus, the Special Edition gets 20-inch dual-tone alloys that dial up the premium factor quotient. However, you can have this special edition model in only two hues: District Green (new) and Ibis White. 

Customers picking up the Q5 Special Edition are also entitled for special pricing of the carmaker’s official accessories. Plus, this edition being based on the top-spec trim, gets all the bells and whistles, which you can check out in our detailed first drive review. 

ZW-Audi-Q5

No changes have been made underneath the hood, meaning you still get the 245PS 2-litre turbo-petrol engine driving all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. 

The Audi Q5 continues to lock horns with the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and the Volvo XC60.
