Kia India has revealed the 2024 Sonet facelift, which will be available in three broad trims: Tech Line, GT Line and X-Line. And in this report, we’ll be taking a closer look at the flagship variant, which is the X-Line. It builds up on the GT Line trim and gets some bespoke updates. So without further ado, let’s check it out in our image gallery.

The 2024 Kia Sonet facelift X-Line variant looks similar to the GTX+ variant, but is available only in this Xclusive Matte Graphite hue. And to make it look sportier, all the contrasting chrome and grey bits in the grille and bumper have been blacked out to give it a stealthier look.

You do get some amount of bling, courtesy of this lovely 16-inch alloys, which has been lifted off from the sporty GT Line variant. Keen eyed viewers will also notice that trim in the door cladding is finished in gloss black as opposed to silver.

Being the flagship variant, it gets connected LED tail lamps that look upmarket. And the skid plate on the bumper is finished in… you guessed it… black, to give it an aggressive look.

Step inside the Kia Sonet facelift X-Line and you’ll notice that the dashboard is finished in black/sage green hue that’s lifted off from the Seltos X-Line and looks unique. Not much has changed when it comes to the dashboard design, but the climate control panel has been revised.

Being the top-end variant, it comes with all the bells and whistles including a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Bose sound system, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, 4-way power adjustable driver’s seat and rear sunshades.

As for safety, you get six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and most importantly, select ADAS features.

You can buy this variant with just two powertrain options: the 120PS 1-litre turbo-petrol with a 7-speed DCT and a 116PS 1.5-litre diesel engine teamed with a 6-speed automatic. If you want any other option apart from these two, you need to step down the lineup. We have detailed the Sonet’s variant-wise powertrain in this report.

Kia India is all set to open bookings for the 2024 Sonet facelift on December 20. One can expect prices to be out by early 2024 and it could command a notable premium over the outgoing model, which started from Rs 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and Nissan Magnite.
