Volvo’s top-selling SUV, the XC60, has received 2026 model year updates. The automaker has revealed that the bookings for the SUV are already open in certain countries, however, the availability of the vehicle will differ from country to country. We believe that Volvo could soon launch the 2026 XC60 in India as well. The best-selling Volvo receives significant updates to the interior and minor tweaks to the exterior.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at detailed look at the updates:
The XC60 receives subtle design changes with tweaks to some of the design elements. The notable changes up front include a revamped grille which takes up more space up front, and you also get reworked air dams.

You get two new alloy wheel options to cater to your taste, and darkened LED tail lights. The XC60 comes in two new colours: Forest Lake and Aurora Silver. Moreover, the Mulberry Red hue will be available with the XC60 for the very first time.

The interior is where there are more significant updates! For starters, you now get a larger 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system which runs on the latest software and comes with in-built Google Maps. Volvo claims that the new infotainment system is twice as quick as the outgoing system!

Volvo has also equipped the interior with some new materials which is meant to give a more premium feel. The use of Quilted Nordico and Navy Herringbone Weave offers a more exclusive and modern experience. It also comes with smarter storage options featuring new cupholders, and an improved wireless phone charger.

It comes with an air purifier as well, as a premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system for a top-notch audio experience.
Other top features include a head-up display, voice assist, adaptive cruise control, powered tailgate, and a 360-degree camera with rear parking assist.
There are no changes made to the powertrain of the XC60. In India, we get the 2-litre petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system that develops 250PS and 350Nm. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and goes from 0-100 kmph in about 6.9 seconds.

We expect the updated Volvo XC60 to hit the Indian roads by 2026. It is expected to be priced at around the Rs 70 lakh mark (ex-showroom). It competes with the likes of BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and the Audi Q5.

Updates to any car are always welcome! The XC60 was already an appealing SUV at the price it is offered, and with necessary updates, its value proposition will likely increase if priced correctly. It is an SUV to consider if travelling in utmost comfort and safety is your priority.
While the updated Volvo XC90 is already slated for a 4th March launch in India, we expect the Volvo XC60 to get the update sometime in mid-2026.
