The Mahindra Scorpio has always been a popular choice when it comes to starring in movies. And the latest version on sale, the Scorpio N, is set to make its acting debut in its first bollywood movie, Sam Bahadur, slated for release on December 1, 2023. The film, directed by Meghna Gulzar, features popular movie stars such as Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Sanya Malhotra.
Sam Bahadur is a war-based drama film centred around India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw. The movie will show Sam Manekshaw’s military life and career as the Chief of Army Staff during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. You can watch the Scorpio N’s trailer in the movie here:
The Mahindra Scorpio has always been a popular choice when it comes to movies. The Scorpio N’s predecessor, the Scorpio Classic – which is still on sale – has featured in plenty of movies such as Singham, Simmba, Bol Bachchan, and Dabangg 3. And considering that the new one is already on sale, it’s high time it starts to be featured on the big screen.
It’s no doubt the Scorpio’s qualities and charm that helped it become a popular vehicle in cinemas. The body-on-frame midsize SUV has butch looks, a very capable chassis that can take a lot of beating and powerful engines that are perfect for high-speed shoot sequences. And apart from that, the Scorpio’s popularity across the country has made it a clear cut choice for movie directors.
To know our impressions of the Mahindra Scorpio N, check out our in-depth first drive review. Prices for the Scorpio N start from Rs 13.26 lakh and go up to Rs 24.53 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a body-on-frame alternative to the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Honda Elevate.
