Audi S5 Sportback Looks Droolworthy In This Epic Platinum Edition

Audi India has launched the S5 Sportback Platinum Edition at Rs 81.57 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s a limited edition model that has been brought to capitalise on the ongoing festive season, where car sales are booming. The S5 Platinum Edition commands a premium of Rs 5.43 lakh over the standard car, but we feel the additional dough is worth considering how good the upgrades are. 

Looks Sportier? 

Oh yes, it does! The Black Styling package in this special edition means bits such as the grille, badging and the windowline surrounds are all finished in black, making it look more aggressive and meaner. Adding to the sporty look is the 5-spoke dual-tone alloys that give the sedan a perfect stance. The cherry on the cake is the red brake callipers with ‘S’ branding that looks deliciously good!

Audi has also upgraded the LED headlamps, which now get the Matrix functionality with laser light technology for better illumination on the road. You get to pick up the Audi S5 Platinum Edition in two hues: Distinct Green and Mythos Black. 

Interior Sets The Tone

If you thought the exterior of the S5 Sportback looks droolworthy, wait till you step inside. We bet you won’t miss the Magma Red sports seats, which look finger-licking good! And not only do they look epic, they also get massaging functions for added comfort. Also, the carbon fibre inserts on the dash sets the mood for those who want a sporty and upmarket look.

You also get illuminated door sills and puddle lamps that project an ‘S’ logo on the ground for that attention to detail.

Audi S5: Powertrain Option 

No mechanical changes have been made to the Audi S5 Platinum Edition. It continues to pack a 3-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine belting out 354PS and 500Nm. Drive is sent to the road through all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. At max attack, the S5 is capable of doing 0-100kmph in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph (limited).
