The updated BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has already made its global debut and is now expected to arrive in India soon. Positioned below the 3 Series sedan, the 2025 2 Series will offer a sharper design and an updated interior with new features as well. Ahead of its launch, which is expected soon, here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 2 Series Gran Coupe.

The 2025 BMW 2 Series gets a more sporty makeover on the outside. Up front, it sports a redesigned kidney grille that complements sleeker LED headlights featuring updated internal elements. The bumpers have been reshaped, while the horizontal lines and new air intakes make the front end appear wider.

Along the sides, its silhouette remains familiar, but the length has been slightly increased to 4546 mm. This makes the 2025 2 Series nearly as long as the Honda City. It also gets new alloy wheels that, in the global model, range from 17 to 19 inches, while the India-spec model will likely feature 18-inch ones. At the rear, the LED tail lights now have a more aggressive look, while touches like a boot lip spoiler elevate its overall appearance.

Inside, owners of the 2025 2 Series will find the cabin to be more driver-focused while maintaining its premium appearance. The main highlight is BMW’s curved display setup, which combines a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.7-inch infotainment system for a cohesive appearance.

It features an all-black colour scheme, while the red accents elevate its sporty character. Overall, the cabin of the 2025 2 Series is cleaner, with a minimalist layout and fewer physical buttons, similar to what we have seen in higher-end BMW models.
The 2025 2 Series gets features such as a Harman Kardon audio system, wireless phone charger, auto-dimming IRVM, and a panoramic glass roof, in the global-spec version. Other highlights include electrically adjustable and heated front seats, with the option of a massage function, multi-colour ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. On the safety front, it offers multiple airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with brake assist, cornering brake control, parking sensors, and a few advanced driver assistance features (ADAS). That said, the feature set of the India-spec updated 2 Series is yet to be confirmed.

Globally, the new 2 Series Gran Coupe is offered with a range of petrol and diesel engines. However, for India, it is likely to retain the familiar 2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 176 PS and the 2-litre diesel engine delivering 190 PS. Both engines will likely come paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission.
The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is expected to be launched in India by the end of July 2025. We expect it to be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine.
The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe appears ready to bring fresh appeal to the entry-level luxury sedan space. With its updated design and sporty character, it could attract buyers looking for a more accessible luxury option.
