Maruti Alto K10 Fully Revealed In New Leak Ahead Of August 18 Debut

• To be offered in six colours including red, blue and metallic brown shades. 

• Powered by 1-litre K10C Dualjet engine paired with 5-speed manual or AMT. 

• Features include 7-inch touchscreen, manual AC and 14-inch wheels. 

• CNG option is likely to be available.

A leaked document has revealed key details about the 2022 Maruti Alto K10 ahead of its launch on August 18. The upcoming compact hatchback will be exclusively available with a 1-litre K10C petrol engine and will slot between the existing 800cc Alto and S-Presso in the carmaker’s lineup. 

What does the new Maruti Alto K10 look like? 

The new Alto K10 is based on Maruti’s Heartect platform and is longer and taller than the existing Alto. This is our first look at the hatchback’s sleek front end with its wide grille and large halogen headlights. 

In the profile, the new Alto’s Celerio-inspired styling cues are more apparent. It has an upright tailgate at the rear flanked by cutesy oversized taillights. 

You’ll be able to get the new Alto K10 in six colours – white, silver, dark grey, red, blue and a new metallic brown shade that seems unique in the Maruti lineup. 

2022 Maruti Alto K10 interior revealed 

Inside, the Alto has a neat dashboard layout with an all black theme. It gets a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digitised instrument cluster and 12-volt accessory port in the centre console.  

Other features could include keyless entry; and all variants of the hatchback will be equipped with dual airbags, rear parking sensors and ABS. 

Two accessory packs for Alto K10

The new compact hatchback will offer two trim packages for accessorising the vehicle. The first is a chrome package with chrome-finish side mouldings, window visors, and garnishes for the bumpers, tailgate, headlights and taillights. 

Alternatively, a sportier trim package will add more subtle red and black trim bits to the hatchback including a spoiler. These embellishments are likely to be offered as individual accessories as well. 

Which powertrains will be available on the Maruti Alto K10? 

The Maruti Alto K10 will be equipped with a 1-litre K10C Dualjet petrol engine that’s also found in the Celerio and S-Presso hatchbacks. We expect an output of 67PS and 89Nm, and a CNG version will also be available. The K10C engine will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard with an AMT automatic option available on select variants.
