The Tata Punch EV will be the company’s next EV launch.
Snapped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and two-spoke steering wheel.
Could be offered in two variants: Standard and Long Range.
Launch expected soon with a starting price of around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Motors’ strategy of offering electric variants of the existing models is applied for the Punch EV as well. However, this time around, new spy images have revealed more details about the electric micro-SUV like the updated interiors, new infotainment unit, exterior design elements, and more.

A glimpse inside the cabin of the new Punch EV revealed a larger infotainment system. This could be the same 10.25-inch unit from the Nexon. We also noticed the two-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo. Earlier spy shots have also revealed the presence of a rotary drive selector with an integrated display.

Features like a semi-digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) could also make their way to the Punch EV’s features list. The SUV was also recently snapped with six airbags while undergoing the Bharat NCAP crash tests.

While there is no official word yet on the powertrain and battery, Tata could offer the Punch with two battery sizes just like the Nexon EV. Considering that it will be positioned between the Tigor EV and Nexon EV, expect the base option to mimic the sedan, while the long range option could get the Nexon’s base powertrain. The Tata Punch EV will compete with the likes of the Citroen eC3, MG Comet EV and its own sibling, the Tata Tiago EV. We can expect a starting price of around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom) with a launch sometime in the first half of 2024.
