2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Goes Eco Friendly, CNG Variants Launched At Rs 8.2 Lakh

For those who want the new Swift, but with even more frugal running costs, Maruti Suzuki has answered your thoughts. The carmaker has launched the 2024 Swift CNG from Rs 8.2 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s available in three variants and delivers a claimed efficiency of 32.85 km/kg. Here are the variant-wise prices of the new Swift CNG:

As seen in the table above, the Swift CNG commands a premium of Rs 90,000 over the standard petrol model. 

2024 Swift CNG: Specifications Explained 

The Swift CNG gets the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine from the standard car, but in CNG mode delivers a reduced output of 69.75 PS and 101.8 Nm. For reference, the standard Swift puts out 82 PS and 112 Nm. The Swift CNG can be had only with the 5-speed manual transmission. It delivers a claimed mileage of 32.85 km/kg, which is rather impressive. 

2024 Swift CNG: Features Onboard 

Since the Swift CNG is not offered in the top-spec Zxi+ variant, it doesn’t get niceties such as the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, a rear parking camera and auto folding ORVMs. 

But the Zxi variant still comes with all the features you would need such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger and keyless entry with push button start. Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and electronic stability control. 

2024 Swift CNG: Rivals 

The 2024 Swift CNG locks horns with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG and Tata Tiago CNG. You can consider it as an alternative to the Tata Punch CNG and Hyundai Exter CNG as well.
