If you are really looking forward for a safe car,I would not suggest swift because it has got only 1 or 2 stars at the global NCAP crash test. Go for tata instead with better safety features and better ride quality.

  • Q. Is there any improvement in mileage in petrol version after first service, whereas i got an average of 15km per litre after 900 km drive on my new Tiago NRG?

At intial level the you will not get good mileage figures as a new car takes time to accustom - the Engine, Piston, Fuel Lines all takes time to lubricate and initial mileage will be low. It generally takes upto 800 to 1000 kms for your car started to offer a better mileage. While at around 4000 - 5000 kms distance when covered, mileage will be at its best and will stabilize which even gets better on oil change at 7500 - 10,000 kms. In order to improve the mileage, we would suggest you to drive slower.Driving fast can reduce your fuel efficiency by up to 33% if you are travelling above 60 mph. It is best to change gears appropriately and match the gear and the RPM carefully. You have to be careful when going to the tuner. Make sure the tuning is just to keep your engine running at the proper revs to provide maximum fuel efficiency. Changing the fuel filter on a regular basis will ensure that your car runs smoothly by letting only fuel into the engine instead of other residue from the tank and a clean air filter promotes better combustion which optimizes fuel economy. The tire pressure should be checked at least monthly because properly inflated tires can improve fuel efficiency by up to 3%. Turning off air conditioner in city driving reduces stress on your engine which increases fuel economy greatly. Whether you use synthetic of natural oil, using an additive can improve fuel efficiency by up to 15%. You can keep these things in mind while maintaining your car.

  • Q. Q. I am Confused between Tata Nexon and Tiago NRG. 1) I have a lot of distance to be driven on a regular basis. Hence from mileage perspective which of the two is a better a option? 2) Is there an option for a factory fitted CNG cylinder/tank? Also if this is a better option considering the performance of the vehicle in the long run? 3) Which of the two Nexon or Tiago NRG has a better ground clearance? 4) If I need to add an ac vent for the rear seat passengers how much would it cost?

The Nexon brings a dose of freshness to the compact-SUV game. There's a lot to like including the design, features and the diesel engine. It’s well built, safe and reasonably good to drive. On the other hand, Tiago NRG being a rugged cousin of Tiago which is the cross-hatch which has an added dose of toughness that we expect. Coming to your concern:1. The mileage among the two highest is of Tiago NRG (Diesel) which is of 27.5 kmpl. Its an ARAI claimed mileage that can vary depending upon the factors like road conditions and the driving pattern. 2. Both the cars do not come with the company fitted CNG system. Moreover, if you want to get it added may visit the nearest authorised service centre. To check the details regarding the nearest service centre available from your respective city check the following link: https://www.zigwheels.com/dealers 3. Talking about the ground clearance Tata Nexon has the highest of 209mm, on the other hand, Tiago NRG has of 180mm.4. In order to fit the rear AC vents if any provision is available in the car than only it can be done. Moreover, it can void the warranty of the car.Do take the test drive for both the cars in order to clear all your doubts regarding the ease and comfort offered by the cars.To get a detailed comparison in both the cars check the following link: https://www.zigwheels.com/compare-cars/tata-nexon-vs-tata-tiago-nrg

  • Q. What about the mileage? is it better from jazz or i20 - Tiago NRG?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

The Tiago NRG shares its engines with the hatchback. There’s no change in output at 85PS/115Nm for the petrol and 70PS/140Nm for the diesel, but Tata claims to have tuned the motor to suit the character of the NRG. The claimed ARAI mileage: Tata Tiago Diesel is 27.28 kmpl | Tata Tiago Petrol is 23.84 kmpl, rest depends on one's driving style and how it is maintained. The NRG appears to be a more practical option over the Tiago XZ. It features a better audio system, rides higher off the ground and has plastic cladding all around, which should keep the body safer from scratches more than anything. While, The Elite i20 has stood the test of time and the facelift does just enough to keep the it relevant in a highly competitive segment. The new i20 features a few changes but is essentially still the same car with slightly improved driving dynamics. So if you’re looking for a frugal yet youthful family hatch, the i20 is still a viable option. On the other hand, the Honda Jazz is a sensible hatch for the practical lot. The engines are refined, equipment levels are on par with its peers and it’s backed up by Honda’s reputation for reliability and after-sales support. We would suggest you to take a test drive in order to clear your all doubts. Click on the given link to get your nearest dealership details: https://www.zigwheels.com/dealers

  • Q. How is the driving experience of Tata Tiago NRG Is there vibration problem Which will be a good option to buy between Tiago XZ+ and Tiago NRG
    Firsterjoy
    Firsterjoy | 6 months ago

I just bought Tiago NRG and found that Vibration is terrible in this car. 1st , 2nd and 3rd gear especially during uphill driving vibrate too much. From gear to food peg till steering wheel vibrate a lot.Im not so satisfied with the car even thought it has seating comfort, high ground clearance and good music system. I cannot recommend others to buy till TATA do something about this problem.
