  • Q. I want to purchase Tata Tiago NRG model, but I am confused which type of engine would be better for me

Hi, I always preferred petrol engines. As it was for my wife and Needed a city car as she did not drive more then 150Km a month, I have the Petrol version of the Tiago nrg and Quite happy with the car and the mileage it gives. Tiago NRG is well built with good ground clearance. It’s a perfect city car to drive around. 3 cylinder engine honestly works well if the car is not loaded but may need to down shift if stuck in traffic with full load. It’s a good car value for money has the looks too. If you need a powerful Tiago go for the Tiago jtp. It’s turbo charged.

  • Q. Is there any improvement in mileage in petrol version after first service, whereas i got an average of 15km per litre after 900 km drive on my new Tiago NRG?

At intial level the you will not get good mileage figures as a new car takes time to accustom - the Engine, Piston, Fuel Lines all takes time to lubricate and initial mileage will be low. It generally takes upto 800 to 1000 kms for your car started to offer a better mileage. While at around 4000 - 5000 kms distance when covered, mileage will be at its best and will stabilize which even gets better on oil change at 7500 - 10,000 kms. In order to improve the mileage, we would suggest you to drive slower.Driving fast can reduce your fuel efficiency by up to 33% if you are travelling above 60 mph. It is best to change gears appropriately and match the gear and the RPM carefully. You have to be careful when going to the tuner. Make sure the tuning is just to keep your engine running at the proper revs to provide maximum fuel efficiency. Changing the fuel filter on a regular basis will ensure that your car runs smoothly by letting only fuel into the engine instead of other residue from the tank and a clean air filter promotes better combustion which optimizes fuel economy. The tire pressure should be checked at least monthly because properly inflated tires can improve fuel efficiency by up to 3%. Turning off air conditioner in city driving reduces stress on your engine which increases fuel economy greatly. Whether you use synthetic of natural oil, using an additive can improve fuel efficiency by up to 15%. You can keep these things in mind while maintaining your car.

  • Q. Query 1) Sports or economy mode deleted or not. 2) On-Road price in petrol version in Kangra H.P. 3) Is it good to buy Tiago instead of NRG. 4) Any base model of NRG?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

1.) Yes, it misses out on sports and economy modes. 2.) Tata Tiago NRG falls in the ranger of Rs. 5.66 - 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Kangra). Click on the following link to know about its on-road price: https://www.zigwheels.com/newcars/Tata/tiago-nrg/on-road-price-kangra 3.) Tata has priced the Tiago NRG at a premium of around Rs 29,000 over the top-spec XZ variant with both petrol and diesel engines. The Tiago XZ is priced at Rs 5.21 lakh and Rs 6.04 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for petrol and diesel, respectively. The NRG appears to be a more practical option over the Tiago XZ. It features a better audio system, rides higher off the ground and has plastic cladding all around, which should keep the body safer from scratches more than anything. 4.) Tata Tiago NRG is available in 1 variants in both petrol and diesel tuning.

  • Q. How is the driving experience of Tata Tiago NRG Is there vibration problem Which will be a good option to buy between Tiago XZ+ and Tiago NRG
    Firsterjoy
    Firsterjoy | 6 months ago

I just bought Tiago NRG and found that Vibration is terrible in this car. 1st , 2nd and 3rd gear especially during uphill driving vibrate too much. From gear to food peg till steering wheel vibrate a lot.Im not so satisfied with the car even thought it has seating comfort, high ground clearance and good music system. I cannot recommend others to buy till TATA do something about this problem.

  • Q. Is Tiago NRG a good car?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 8 months ago

Yes, Tata Tiago NRG is worth to buy. Tata’s Tiago now has a rugged cousin. Called the ‘NRG’ (pronounced energy), the cross-hatch has an added dose of toughness that we expect. Changes on the outside include a reworked front bumper with a faux skid plate, some cladding along the side skirts and wheel arches, and some more on the rear bumper and hatch door. Tata has launched a cross-hatch version of the Tiago called the Tiago NRG. For that extra cash, you get 10mm of extra ground clearance, loads of matte black cladding all around, a few orange accents on the inside and the 5-inch touchscreen borrowed from the Tigor. Subtler additions come in the form of gloss black ORVMs, matte-black door handles, a blacked out roof and roof rails. The claimed ARAI mileage for the Tata Tiago NRG petrol is 24kmpl, and for the Tata, Tiago NRG diesel is 27kmpl. But before the final decisions suggest you take a test drive of the vehicle to understand the power and comfort better.

If you are really looking forward for a safe car,I would not suggest swift because it has got only 1 or 2 stars at the global NCAP crash test. Go for tata instead with better safety features and better ride quality.

  • Q. Is Tiago NRG's engine noisy and has problem with suspension?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 6 months ago

There might be some of the engine noise which seep into the cabin of the car but the car gets great suspension to face the rough roads. The Tiago is one of the most hottest hatches with a frugal engine. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive of the car so that you may evaluate the engine performance and engine noise of the car.Click her for the dealership: https://www.zigwheels.com/dealers/Tata
