Maruti Suzuki S-Cross 2022

Suzuki has taken wraps off the new-gen S-Cross in Europe. It sports a completely redesigned exterior with a more upright stance to give it an SUV look. The interior gets a few touch ups, gets a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and packs the latest technology, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

That said, Maruti Suzuki is yet to give a word about the new-gen S-Cross’ India launch. Expect it to happen sometime in 2022 at prices starting from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, India) onwards. It will renew its rivalry with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, and MG Astor.

Features: The European-spec new-gen S-Cross features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and adaptive cruise control. Safety is packed with a 360-degree camera, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Engine: The new European-spec S-Cross gets a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine specced with a 48v mild-hybrid system, which develops 129PS and 235Nm, and is coupled with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions, with all-wheel drive as standard. Expect the India-spec model to be powered by the existing 1.5-litre petrol engine.

Rivals: The new-gen Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will renew its rivalry with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, and MG Astor.
