Pros and Cons

  • Positives
  • Negatives

Hyundai Creta

  • Looks have aged well
  • refined engine and transmission combinations
  • sophisticated handling and added features

Kia Sonet

  • Looks curvy and powerful. Lots of variants to choose from and proper automatics too. Like the Seltos the interiors don't disappoint. New update brings four airbags and TPMS as standard. Six airbags are now available on more models too. Some premium features and transmissions have also trickled down to lower variants.

Hyundai Creta

  • Some features misses like no 360 degree camera
  • reach adjust for steering
  • front parking sensors and rain sensing wipers.

Kia Sonet

  • Not enough width for three adults. No cooled glove box or adjustable front arm rest.

Recently Asked User Questions

Q. I have a budget of 11.5 lac rupees and my preference is a mid size SUV. We were considering Kia Sonet HTX IMT but my father advised me to go for Creta E diesel and to install aftermarket kits on that. What would be the sensible choice because I am a driving enthusiast so just wanted a car which has a kick in the pants feel. Talking about features yes Kia offers almost everything excluding ventilated seats and alloys but to be specific the priorities are 1- looks, 2- performance, 3- space and 4- reliability.
  • Both cars are good enough and have their own forte in their segments. Both cars are reliable and have great looks. Hyundai Creta offers a more comfortable, smooth ride quality, a spacious cabin, and its engine is more punch as compared to Sonet iMT. On the other hand, Kia Sonet offers a better feature list at a price and delivers better power. You may compare both cars accordingly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
Q. I am stuck between two options Sonet GTX+ Diesel AT and Creta SX Diesel Manual. The only concern I am now left out is which one has a suspension that's decent enough for bumpy roads and has a good stability on high speeds. All other requirements sorted out.
  • Both Hyundai Creta and Kia Sonet offer brilliant ride quality. However, if you'll be driving more in heavy city traffic then we suggest you to opt for Automatic Transmission which are easier to use and more comfortable for the driver, while Manual Transmission vehicles are less expensive more involved & are more fun to drive on highways. Every one of us knows that traffic is becoming an ever increasing pain. It does not matter how quick your manual gearbox responds or how reliable it is when you get stuck in a huge traffic jam and suffer excruciating pain in your left leg constantly depressing the clutch. Moreover, Creta has a more sophisticated feeling to it now and the ride is more comfortable and polished than before. In the city, over speed breakers and bigger bumps, the suspension soaks up the impacts in a quiet and unflustered fashion. Whereas, the Sonet is enjoyable on twisty roads. It goes where you want it to with confidence, and doesn’t let the slight body roll get in the way of having some fun. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive for a better understanding of performance and comfort. • Sonet has worst suspension setup, Creta would be better
Q. Which is better, Hyundai Creta or Kia Sonet?
  • Both bikes are best in their own forte. The Hyundai Creta is clearly an impressive compact SUV. It is spacious, comfortable, loaded with features, easy to drive, and offered powerful petrol and diesel engine options. Compared to the old car, it is a considerable upgrade, both in terms of drive and feel. On the other hand, Kia Sonet looks curvy and powerful. Lots of variants to choose from and proper automatics too. Like the Seltos the interiors don't disappoint. The new update brings four airbags and TPMS as standard. Six airbags are now available on more models too. Some premium features and transmissions have also trickled down to lower variants. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

  • I purchased Creta SX Diesel Manual before 2 months and had driven 6000 kms. I have driven the car both inside city and in highway. Car has been pretty amazing. Comfort, style and safety has been top notch. My total avg mileage has been around 20.6 kmpl. my top speed in the car is 190 kmph and felt amazing stability and very minimal vibration. Doors and body of the car is very steady and you can feel it when you drive. Overall it has been an amazing experiance.

  • Yes it is possible.I bought a kia sonet htx petrol engine car recently and these were the questions i had as well.As the difference amount between htx and htx+ version is 2.3 lakhs i felt it's waste to spend extra money, Instead i can upgrade the htx externally after buying and it worked out well for me.I added the below add ons to my htx car 1.2 air purifiers2.Alloy wheels3.Amplified sound system4.Lightingit costed me around 90k basically i saved 1.5 lakh with extra interest charges on the financial optionshope it was helpful.Thank you.

  • Canceled Venue SX petrol and waited for this and it was worth it. I got HTX diesel at the same ex-showroom price with all the additional features and latest interior & exterior. Engine 5/5Comfort, 5/5Space, 4/5 (4 persons in my family) Interior 5/5 (as per other options in the segment), Overall rating 4.9/5. The only downside is steel wheel caps not looking so great. We will change soon. The showroom guys won't allow for self-insurance/zero bargaining/long waiting if not pre-booked. Hopefully, I pre-booked the first day itself.

  • A compact suv with all features of a larger suv.Value for money. There is a difference of 1.5 lakhs when compared with nexon top end.But with 7 spped dct gear box, 10.25 touch screen, Ventilated seats, Bose systems, Front parking sensors and 6 air bags the difference in amount is justified completely. These features you cant experience in any of the same segment cars.Stylish looks and finishing gives a brand look to the car.City mileage is around 12 to 13high way mileage i am getting 17.
