About Yamaha Fascino

Fascino is a trendy little scooter from Yamaha India that is targeted towards the youth of the country and bridges the gap between the Ray series and the Alpha family scooter. It features a striking design with smooth lines and the design has a certain flow to it and the oval headlamp cashes in on the affinity towards the retro styling. The sloping rear end ends in a neatly designed tail lamp assembly. The clocks and mirrors too echo its inclination towards the retro design. It also has good build quality and the quality of plastics though not phenomenal is actually quite good as well. The switchgear too are easy to operate and fall to hand easily. It is powered by Yamaha’s tried and tested 113cc single cylinder air cooled engine which also does the duty on the Ray series and the Alpha. It makes 7.1PS of max power and 8Nm of peak torque and is mated to a CVT gearbox. The Fascino is a great scooter for anyone who has a thing for all things retro and at an ex-showroom price of Rs 53,100 it is far from exuberant

Yamaha Fascino Overview

The 2020 Yamaha Fascino with BS6-compliant engine has been spotted testing. The motor will be fuel injected and the scooter comes with a revised design that still carries the curvaceous look of the current-generation model. The seat has been redesigned and the scooter might also feature an external fuel filler.

Yamaha has equipped the scooter with alloy wheels. The front end is likely to roll on 12-inchers whereas the rear appears to be a 10-inch unit. Brakes have remained the same: drum setup with CBS on both ends. Suspension bits include the same telescopic fork and monoshock setup as the current model. The 2020 Yamaha Fascino BS6 is likely to be dearer by around Rs 6000 to Rs 7000 over the current Fascino’s pricing. At present, the Fascino retails at Rs 57,523 (ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter is likely to be launched in early 2020 and will compete against the TVS Jupiter and the Honda Activa 5G.

    Yamaha fascino

I hve driven my yamaha fascino for 4 long years. It has been a great experience. This review is after 4 years usage. The scooty is very comfortable to ride for 50-100 km at once. For more than that it's a bit painful. The acceleration is very nice and decent imran it can really beat any other scooty or even bike of 100+125 cc capacity in 100m drag race. You can easily ride at 60-70 kmph speed without vibration and the build quality is of fibre but it's strong.I have done services many time after sale and in my area they offer very decent service.

Overall good experience excellent.I bought from bikers.2.It's very comfortable and smooth during driving.3.Good.4.Very good 5.Body sound often come after ride 500 km.When air blowing heavy bike shaking too much and getting unbalance during riding due to fiber body.I recommend metal body where windy area.As per example- i used to go my office near sea shore where scooter was shaking during riding near beach.Even i went from chennai to mahabalipuram & puducherry. Most of the times bike was shaking on road due to heavy air.

    Child touches

Some or other body parts breaking. First the battery failed exactly a week after the warranty, when we gave it for service just a month before itself the battery was not good. In spite of complaining about that to the service center they said it is all good. Within 15 days it failed. The side view mirrors always in loose condition. The design itself is horrible, even if a child touches the mirror it will get loose.Chock is another nonsense they have in this vehicle. Within 6 months they forced us to change the cable / chock parts 3 times. Every time when we go for service we have to hear a nasty lecture how to maintain the vehicle before they bill 1000 rupees.NOT GOOD FOR LADIES - IF YOU WISH IT SHOULD RUN WITH ONE OR TWO VISITS IN A YEAR TO SERVICE CENTER. BE PREPARED TO VISIT SERVICE CENTER EVERY MONTH. Being the 2nd costliest vehicle in the market the performance is not satisfying.
