The facelifted Kia Seltos has been spotted undisguised for the first time on our shores, giving us a first look at the design changes. The compact SUV is expected to be launched in July and will get a design refresh and plenty of new features. It will also get an important safety update, which we’ll talk about first.

The facelifted Kia Seltos will get ADAS features as confirmed by the presence of a radar module on the front bumper. Its suite is expected to include features such as lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.
In terms of design changes, the Seltos gets a larger Tiger Nose grille, flanked by LED headlamps with reprofiled DRLs. It also gets a redesigned bumper that adds a breath of fresh air. In profile, the Seltos now features the 18-inch alloys that were earlier limited to the X-Line trim. And at the back, it now features a new set of connected tail lamps and new bumpers with what looks like twin exhaust outlets.

On the inside, the Kia Seltos is likely to get the dual 10.25-inch screens from the international model whose orientation is similar to the EV6. It’s also expected to get a redesigned central console, while the automatic variants could get a rotary gear selector. To take a look at how the interior looks, check out our detailed unveiling report.
The Kia Seltos will also get a host of new features with this update. One big addition will be the presence of a panoramic sunroof. Apart from that, we expect it to get heated seats from the 2023 Verna. Kia could also use this as an opportunity to include six airbags as standard across the lineup.

The Seltos should carry forward its 115PS 1.5-litre petrol and 116PS 1.5-litre diesel engine options. Also, the 160PS, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is expected to debut in the Seltos with this update. And in terms of transmission options, it should continue offering the existing iMT and automatic options.
With these updates, the Seltos is expected to command a notable premium over the current model that is priced from Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross.
