Mahindra has finally launched the 5-door Thar Roxx, with prices starting from Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. It features certain visual differences from the Thar 3-door, but most importantly, it has increased in size with its extra set of doors and increased wheelbase. So, to determine how much larger the Thar Roxx really is, we compare the dimensions of both models in this report.
Size-wise, the Thar Roxx is unmistakably the bigger of the two in this comparison. The 5-door model breaks the sub-4m barrier with an extra 443 mm length over the 3-door model, which also translates to a 400 mm longer wheelbase, ensuring there is no shortage of space in the second row.

Let’s take a quick look at the features and powertrain options of the new Thar Roxx:
The 5-door Thar Roxx gets several additions over the 3-door model. It comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, connected car tech, and Harmon Kardon sound system.
On the safety front the Thar Roxx gets six airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, 360-degree camera system, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system and ADAS. For a full comparison, you can check out this report.
